Magical Mirai 2020 Initial Details

Among the announcements made at the Sapporo Factory Atrium Hall during Snow Miku 2020 were the first details about Magical Mirai 2020!

Theme

First, the theme of this year’s Magical Mirai is Matsuri, which means “festival.” Anyone familiar with the IA & ONE anniversary theme song from last year will recognize this theme well!

MEIKO 15th Anniversary Feature

Secondly, it was also announced that the Magical Mirai 2020 event in Osaka this summer will have a special feature for MEIKO’s 15th anniversary!

All that we know so far is that a theme song is in the works for the feature. Once the song’s producer and other information is revealed, well announce it. And considering how the Osaka stop for Magical Mirai 2020 is happening in summer, the info will probably come sooner rather than later!

MEIKO & KAITO Life-Size Statues Project

Finally, a new project for both MEIKO and KAITO was revealed! It was first hinted at earlier this week when a tweet was made by Hatsune Miku’s official Twitter account with the hashtag #MK15th_project.

We now finally know that the project is to make life-size statues of MEIKO and KAITO! A crowdfunding project on Act Now will be open from 5:00 PM on February 17 and to 11:59 PM (JST) on April 19 to make it happen! Look forward to details on how you can help, and enjoy the concept image by iXima!

Dates and Locations

Magical Mirai 2020 will take place from August 7 to August 9 at the INTEX Osaka.

Then it will take place from December 18 to December 20 at the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo!
