Mikucolle Event: “Miku and Kaito and the Smart- Puppets” 02/03/2020 ~ 16/03/2020
Hello everyone! Today I have something for Mikucolle players to feast their eyes upon – the new event, “Miku and Kaito and the Smart- Puppets” (ミクとKAITOと機巧の人形). I’m certainly excited to show you what’s going on, so let’s dive into the magical steampunk-ish world of the new event.
(For info about the second half of this event, you can check out my other article!)

First up, we can get a generous 3 Mikucoins JUST for logging in every day! And considering I couldn’t join in the Len gacha that was around recently, I know I’m pretty broke of Mikucoins right about now, so this is definitely handy. This will be happening from March 3rd to March 16th… so that’s 39 Mikucoins altogether if you log in every day!
So now onto the event info!
This is the first part of the event, and for it you’ll need to make your way through all of the levels and stages, beating the baddies! Each time you clear a new level, you get a Mikucoin too! When you start the event quest, you’ll be met with a set of dialogue between Kaito and Miku (for the first set of translations, feel free to check out the end of this article!)
For this event, the enemies will all be water-type ones, so I’d advise creating a deck made entirely of leaf-type cards to combat them most effectively.
Participants in the event can get cool items!
While you’re playing the levels, you could be in with a chance of finding event-limited clothing items for your character! If you’re looking for a specific characters’ item, make sure to check the item-drop info before you launch into the game:
These items won’t necessarily drop automatically when you play a level- sometimes you’ll need to play a small cluster of levels multiple times just to get the specific items you want.
The last level is number 3 – 4, and if you complete all of the levels, you’ll not only get one of the titular “Smart-birds” as a magical item, but you’ll also be able to try the EX Boss Quest:
If you finish this quest, you’ll receive a cool telescope as an item too!
Rainbow Rush Gacha
-First we have a gacha with three options. The button furthest on the left is one pull only, and it costs 3 Mikucoins. You can do this one only once a day. The middle button is a one pull gacha too, but you can play it as many times per day as you want, and it costs 5 Mikucoins per pull. If you have a regular golden gacha ticket, you can use that for one pull in this gacha as well. On the far right we have the third option, which gives you 10 cards plus one extra – the best value gacha. You should get at least one SSR with this gacha, and it costs 50 Mikucoins.
-Second in the list is the free gacha. With this one, you’ll be able to do the equivalent of a 10 + 1 pulls gacha without paying anything. This gacha will disappear from the page once used, leaving the other four event gacha behind. It’s really handy to get a good selection of high level cards, actually.
-For our third gacha, you’ll need to use special gacha tickets instead of Mikucoins. You only get one pull, but there’s a high probability for SSR+ cards. You’ll find out how to get these tickets in a little while.
-The last event-exclusive gacha requires tickets too, but instead, you should get no less than an SSR with your single pull if you try it.
Cards available in-gacha
“But what cards are we specifically aiming to get with these new gacha”, you may be wondering. Well, allow me to show you!

Dialogue translations (Part 1):
- Kaito: Okay, let’s go over the situation once more.
- Miku: Sounds good to me. Do you want to start?
- Kaito: The “Smart-Control Engines” in the centre of town have begun to malfunction
- Miku: Indeed. The first ones to malfunction was with those “Smart Service Workers”
- Kaito: The so-called “Waiter-robots”?
- Miku: Mhm. So-called indeed… Can you believe it? Instead of Tea, they serve oil!
- Kaito: Hot oil?
- Miku: Yeah, all it would need is a lemon slice in it and it’d taste perfect… For goodness sake, Kaito, come on, this is hardly a laughing matter!
- Kaito: Next to malfunction were the mechanisms in automatic vehicles
- Miku: I wonder what it would be like to drive in a car that can’t even go in a straight line? And this time, there have been problems with the “Automatic Music Orchestra”.
- Kaito: An off-key orchestra sounds somewhat unfortunate, doesn’t it?
- Miku: Of course it’s unfortunate!!
- Kaito: Ooh, she’s angry…
- Miku: And of course, I’m angry.
- Ornith [appears]: *Skree-hee-hee-chirrrrp*
- Kaito: Ah, welcome back Ornith (a “Smart- bird”). What’s the situation in town like?
- Miku: Wait a sec, I’m just going to read Ornith’s data log now…
- Ornith: *cheep*?
- Miku: Mhm, unfortunate indeed…
- Kaito: Ornith, what is it?
- Miku: It said that they couldn’t find anything suspicious.
- Miku: Ornith discovered the sensor module which is directly connected to the central analytical engine…from what I can understand.
- Miku: The thing that Ornith couldn’t identify is something which appears to have “awoken” in the town center, and it wasn’t even picked up by the security system.
- Kaito: I don’t really get it, but in short, this is a bad situation, right?
- Miku: In short, this is a terrible situation! And I have no idea where we should start with investigating this.
- Kaito: So there’s even something that even the town’s No.1 genius engineer doesn’t understand!
- Miku: Well, there’s no data on this!
- Kaito: But these “Smart-“ things running rampant aren’t going to wait for us to figure this out!
- Miku: The disturbance is only spreading further…
- Kaito: If we can’t manage to stop this chaos, then the situation will just get worse and worse.
- Miku: Even if we use underhanded methods, I guess we have no choice but to bring those malfunctioning machines under control.
- Kaito: But how do we do it?
- Miku: In your case, Kaito, how do you fix a broken difference engine?
- Kaito: Well, you start off by trying to hit it.
- Miku: Yes, YES! Absolutely! (music note) We’ll start off by whacking them one by one!
- Kaito: W-wait, really?!
