Mikucolle Event: “Miku and KAITO and the Smart- Puppets” – Part 2
The next part of the “Miku and Kaito and the Smart- puppets” event is in full swing, with even more new cards to collect! I’ve been grinding through levels to see what’s in store for us, so here I’ll explain exactly what you can do throughout the duration of it. I’ve also included the second half of the dialogue translations from between Miku and Kaito at the end of the article!
(For information about the first half of the event, you can read my previous article too!).

In terms of the event missions, the levels that you worked on in the first half of the event are still there, so you can continue to progress through them if necessary! When you look on the events section in the “mission list”, you’ll see that there are new achievements to complete! Objectives include:
-Completing the event levels without having to revive yourself
-Defeating a certain amount of normal bosses
-Finishing the EX boss level
-Finishing the EX Boss level with a deck with less than 10 cards
Completing these will give you clothing items, accessories or magical items, Mikucoins, “Angel Jyakushi” shards or red box gacha tickets (I’ll talk more about those later!)
Once you finish the last level (level 3-4), you’ll have access to the “EX boss” mission for 30 minutes. During these thirty minutes, you can try the most difficult level, which is the only level which continually gives you box gacha tickets. After 30 minutes, this mission banner will disappear, and you’ll have to clear level 3-4 again to reactivate it.
I definitely recommend collecting as many of each clothing item/accessory/magical item as possible, because then you can use copies of them to rank up one of them and make them stronger!
New gacha available
For this half of the event, we have five different types of gacha to try!
-The first gacha at the top is a three-option gacha, so you can choose one option depending on how many Mikucoins you have. The button on the left is one pull only, and it costs you 3 Mikucoins. You can do this one only once a day, and it only gives you one card per pull. The button in the middle is a one pull option too, but you can play it as many times per day as you want, and it costs 5 Mikucoins per pull. If you one of the regular golden gacha tickets, you can use that for one pull using the middle button instead. On the far right we have the third option, which gives you 10 cards plus one extra –the best value out of all three types here. You should get at least one SSR with this gacha, and it costs 50 Mikucoins.
-Our second one is the free gacha, which gives each player the opportunity to do one “10 cards +1 extra” pull without paying anything. These free gacha have pretty good rates for SSRs and SSR+ cards, so don’t forget to try this one.
-Thirdly, we have a gacha which requires specific tickets that you have to buy in the online store. You only get one pull for this, but there’s a high probability for SSR+ cards. I’ll explain about how to get these tickets in a moment.
-Following this one, we have a gacha which requires a different type of specific ticket. However with this one, you should get no less than an SSR with your pull.
And here are the main cards you’ll be aiming to get with these gacha:
「蒸気機関と歯車の街」/ “Town of Steam Engines and Cogs” (Jyouki-kikan to haguruma no machi) – SSR+
Art by 那流
Skill: “I’ll introduce you to the town built on steam!”
「Snow Sky 雪ミク」/ “Snow Sky Snow Miku” – SSR+
Art by へいわ (Heiwa)
Skill: “Let’s sing on the winter grounds”
「Snow Sky ルか」/ “Snow Sky Luka” – SSR+
Art by へいわ (Heiwa)
Skill: “Let’s pass the time in the winter grounds”
Snow Sky MEIKO – SSR+
Art by へいわ (Heiwa)
Skill: “Let’s be healed in the winter grounds”
Top tip: add any of these cards to your deck during this event (especially as the leader card), and you’ll get a boost of power during missions, and your overall score will be higher!
But those aren’t the only gacha Mikucolle has for us! Lastly we have the Box Gacha, which uses those red box gacha tickets I mentioned earlier.
On this screen is box no.1 out of 7, and each box has at least 12 items within it. Each item within the box can be redeemed once, so you need 12 tickets to finish box one. Then you move onto box 2, which has 13 items, etc. etc. Now I’ll show you what’s in each box:
As well as getting the steampunk-themed clothing items, there are special cards to collect too:
「がおがお☆かいじゅう」/ “Roar Roar ☆ Monsters” (Gao Gao kaijyuu) – SSR+
Art by まご (Mago)
Skill: “Everyone’s a monster”
Miku: “Plant monster” / Rin: “Electricity monster” / Len: “Light monster” / Luka: “Healing monster” / Kaito: “Water droplet monster” / Meiko: “Flame monster”
Now I’ll explain how to earn these white box gacha tickets. In the Event (イベント) section of the Mission List (ミッションリスト) , you’ll find white tickets with red writing, which you can earn using the methods I outlined previously.
All of these white Box Gacha tickets need to be exchanged into red box gacha tickets in the “Exchange Shop” (交換所). 100 red tickets give you just one white ticket, which can actually be used for the box gacha shown. So for example, you’ll need 1200 white box gacha tickets just to get through Box 1.
So to get enough box gacha tickets, you’ll have to try and complete all of the relevant missions, and then grind in the EX Boss level to get more.

The last aspect of this event is as follows: when you play an event mission, the points you earn will help you get a rank. You’ll be placed in a leaderboard amongst other players, and some of the highest ranked will get this card:

Art by 姐川 (Sogawa)

The top 100 players in the rankings will be able to get at least one of these cards!
Thank you for reading my summary of the current Mikucolle event! This event will be running until the 16th March 13:59 JST, so there’s still time to finish it! I’m sure we’ll have more updates soon, so keep your eyes on our social media pages to find out what’s happening next.

Dialogue translations (Part 2):
37. Miku: Ooh, I wonder if you haven’t become rather meek yourself, Kaito.
38. Kaito: I may have become a little meek but… ugh… there’ll never be an end to this kinda stuff, I guess.
39. Miku: So Kaito, what do you think?
40. Kaito: Well there’s no data to work from, right?
41. Miku: I wonder where it is… that data.
42. Kaito: I thought about it too, I mean, you said it yourself. There are enemies in the security circuit in the central analytical engine which haven’t been detected.
43: Miku: I didn’t say that they were enemies necessarily… but yeah.
44. Kaito: You’re the No.1 genius engineer in the town, Miku. That’s something that everyone acknowledges, so there will be no mistakes in your analysis.
45. Kaito: If what you say is true.
46. Miku: If what I say is true?
47: Kaito: A place that you can’t see… there’s nothing outside the steam powered engine that you know of?
48. Miku: Outside…?
49: Ornith [returning again]: *shoo, hee hee chirrrrp*
50: Kaito: Hey, welcome back Ornith! Thanks for your hard work running these errands for me
51: Ornith: *fushuu*
52. Miku: Eh, Kaito, what does Ornith want?
53: Kaito: Mm, I asked him to take this and fly around the town centre with it.
54. Miku: Oooh, it’s so pretty! …Is it a gemstone?
55. Kaito: It looks like an amethyst, but the chemical makeup of it is different. It’s a much rarer type of crystal.
56. Kaito: For example, I’ve been thinking that if there is this something like that in the middle of the town, that would result in the area surrounding it looking kinda distorted or warped, right?
57. Miku: …yeah?
58. Kaito: This crystal will react with the distortion and form a needle shaped-substance inside.
59. Kaito: So to speak, I wonder if the sharp substance could carve up the afterimage of the distortion of space and result a projected time machine…
60. Miku: I don’t really understand, but that sounds amazing!
61. Kaito: It’s pretty cool! With this mission, we can’t even overlook a kitten with its sly steps!
62. Miku: Nevermind that. Then what? What else do you have to say about this gemstone?
63. Kaito: There’s a huge machine which warps time – the Giant Clock.
64. Miku: What even is that?
65. Kaito: A machine which isn’t connected to the town’s circuits… but because the Giant Clock can’t move, it continually multiplies itself.
66. Miku: So you’re saying… that the nucleus of the analytical engine wasn’t under surveillance and we have a situation where this clock thing will just keep multiplying itself?
67. Kaito: Uhh, when you boil it all down…-
68: Miku: That’s a pretty dangerous clock!
69. Kaito: Right, well we’d better stop said clock then!
