As Many Events Close in Japan, a New Café Collabo is Announced!
I’ll admit, I was really sad that I wasn’t able to go to the Sakura Miku café this year, especially since I’ve been covering ot so avidly in my articles here on Vocasphere.
Things are quite solemn across the world right now, but one artist was nice enough to go out of their way to make people smile: they decided to design and open their very own café collabo for people!
Since so many events have been closing on Japan due to the current situation with Covid-19, artist 7:24 and Aho☆ship of opening a one-day only café of their own!
7:24 was one of the many artists who won the Sakura Miku x Animate cafe menu design contest, with their “Sakura Miku Dual Coloured Parfait”!
Knowing that people have been sad that they couldn’t go to the event, they made this tweet announcing their venture:
For today only, they would be opening the Sakura Kagamine cafe to the public! It’s free entry for all, and it’s being held at the Dog theatre x Ahoship café. The artist was sad that Miku is always in the limelight, and so they also wanted to open similar cafés with Luka, Meiko and Kaito in mind in the future!
The menu for the cafe is as follows:
- First up is the “Rin and Len onigiri plate! Onigiri are rice balls wrapped in nori (seaweed), but these ones are special since they’re shaped like the Kagamine Twins’ collars!
- Next to it is the “Bokamine New Song Sushi Set”. A super fancily decorated assortment of sushi!
- Third is the “Sakura Pancakes”, which look like an adorable cake literally made of pancakes!
- The aptly named “Rin and Len Cupcakes” are adorable little fairy cakes with orange and banana decorations!
- Drinks-wise, we have the “Rin’s Orange Iced Tea”. Ooh, it looks so refreshing….
- And lastly we have “Len’s Hot Banana Ore”, similar to the one designed by アメタコ for Luka in the Sakura Miku cafe!
And no cafe would be complete without merchandise!
You could also win one of either the two acrylic stands (either Rin or Len) or one of the 12 badges shown. All you have to do is follow the artists official twitter account (@7:24_inukai) and retweet the tweet shown just above!

As well as this, a particularly cute thing that 7:24 has done is create adorable Line stamps based on this event!

I’d definitely recommend checking out this once in a lifetime opportunity! I mean, look how cute that food is!! As a big fan of the Kagamine twins, I would love to go.
