Hatsune Miku x Red Feather Community Chest Illustration and Song Contests Announced!
Fans following Miku are probably aware of her collaborations with Red Feather Community Chest by now. This charity organization aims to help all of those in need, especially during disaster relief. So one can imagine how strapped the Red Feather organization will be this year thanks to the current situation around the world.
However, Miku and friends (including Snow Miku this year!) are always willing to help out and they want to include you as well! Crypton is looking for theme songs to encourage donations as well as illustrations for merchandise they want to use to support the charity. Since we’re all stuck at home for a while, now would be the perfect time to make a song or illustration to support a charity!
Illustration Contests
There are actually two illustration contests this year: One for the Red Feather Community Chest x Snow Miku collaboration and one for promotional posters. Winners for these contests will have their artwork featured on posters as well as promotional merchandise.
Red Feather x Snow Miku Illustration Contest
- Theme: An illustration for the “Red feather Community Chest x Snow Miku” to be used only in Hokkaido
- Application Period: April 20, 2020 (Monday) 17:00 to June 1, 2020 (Monday) 17:00
- Number of Works Chosen: 1 winner or more
- Allowed Characters: Snow Miku 2011 + Kagamine Rin / Kagamine Len / Megurine Luka / MEIKO / KAITO / Rabbit Yukine
- The work MUST include the Snow Miku 2011 design and can not use any other Snow Miku design.
- The work should include the “Red Feather” motif and no other colored feathers. However, tracing the Red Feather logo itself is not allowed.
- Do not put any text on the illustrations.

- Work size: A4 vertical size ([vertical] 3508px x [horizontal] 2480px)
- File format: JPEG, PNG
- Color mode: RGB
- Resolution: 350dpi or higher

What can we do to help people smile more?
We thought it’d be good if we could do something in order to see said smiles of everyone.
And with that, we want to use the thoughtfulness and kind hearts of people in order to maintain a bright future.
That’s why we are inviting you to send us your illustrations which are filled with smiling faces looking towards a brighter tomorrow.
Post format
- Work size: A4 vertical size ([vertical] 3508px x [horizontal] 2480px)
- File format: JPEG, PNG
- Color mode: RGB
- Resolution: 350dpi or higher
Restrictions
- Hatsune Miku must be included in the poster but can include as many of the other allowed characters as you’d like.
- The work should include the “Red Feather” motif and no other colored feathers. However, tracing the Red Feather logo itself is not allowed.
- Do not place any text on your illustration. This does not include the official number logo on the arms of any character.
- Derived characters (Mikudayo, Hachune Miku, etc.) are not allowed.
Costume Rules
- ALLOWED: Any official box art costume is allowed as well as any original costume created by you.
- NOT ALLOWED: Any costumes from video games, anime, or other third party copyrighted works.

Notes Concerning all Competitions
Winners will be announced sometime around August according to the competition website. The competition organizers will choose the winners and announce them on the piapro website. Please be sure you have an up-to-date email where they can contact you in case you do win.
Cautionary Points
It might be necessary for the contest organizers to crop your design.
It might be necessary for the contest organizers to shorten or omit your entry title.
Entrants younger than 18 years of age must supply parental or guardian consent.
Entries must be the work of a single individual; entries created by companies or a group of people are not allowed.
Make sure to not change your email address after completing your entry.
You are solely responsible if claims are filed against your entry for infringing on the rights of any third party. The contest organizers bear no responsibility.
Your entry must be an original work that has never been uploaded online before or used in other contests.
The final entry day before the deadline is often flooded with entries, and yours may not be uploaded in time, so please upload your entry well ahead of the deadline.
Under no circumstances will any more entries be accepted after the deadline.
Entries and their information (titles, descriptions, etc.) cannot be modified after the deadline.
Your nickname that will be displayed with your entry will be the one that you set at the licensing step. If a name is not set, then your piapro nickname piapro ID will be displayed instead.
