Quadimension’s Chiyu confirmed for SynthesizerV Release 2, first demo song available

It’s been months since the release of Haiyi’s voicebank, which has meant that fans of Quadimension have been desperately longing for some sort of exciting news since then. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait a second longer! Chiyu was confirmed for SynthesizerV Release 2 a few days ago, which made positive waves throughout the community.

The announcement

On April 9, 2020, Quadimension finally blessed us with this post on Weibo:

“The voice synth engine, Synthesizer V, will soon be getting a brand new, large-scale version upgrade! The second generation Synthesizer V engine (codenamed “R2″) will significantly optimize the user experience in accordance with how they operate and use DAWs, and will allow greater freedom in voice bank tuning.”

Along with it will come a brand new and easier to use Synthesizer V Editor. The new editor was created with the goal of offering a more intuitive user interface, as well as greater efficiency in utilization.”

So now we actually have an idea about what kind of engine SVR2 will be, and what we can expect from it! At the end of the post, we were also informed that we should get a first look at the new version of Chiyu very soon, which confirms her future release on the updated engine.

The demo

Chiyu has just received the “generation two” demo song, using her hit track from “天马行空Fairytale” album, “404 not found” as a base. The remake utilises the 2nd generation SynthV engine.
