Luo Tianyi Makes a Guest Appearance on the Ford Channel
Back on May 19th, the official Weibo page for the Ford Lingjie made a post teasing that Luo Tianyi would be appearing on their next news conference broadcast on the Ford Channel on May 20th at 7:30 pm (CST), and Tianyi herself then followed suit.
She then made good on that promise at the expected time, and you can now watch the show from the link below on Bilibili!

Video Overview
The video starts with Mr. Song Yang, President of Ford’s National Distribution Services Division in China, receiving a message from Tianyi, supposedly from the digital world! She caught wind of Ford’s plans to expand their media circle, and believes that they can work together. Although confused at first. Yang agrees to meet with the Vsinger!
We then see the pair in the studio together, seemingly transcending digital boundaries between our worlds! Tianyi introduces herself as a 15 year old virtual singer from a world created by her many adoring fans. When Yang asks the VOCALOID why she is so loved, she credits all the creators out there who have given her countless beautiful songs to sing and artwork for fans to enjoy, using her as a medium to spread happiness and strength in the world.
Still needing convincing that she’s not some girl who just wastes her time online, Yang then engages Tianyi is a quiz battle. Here’s how she answers each question:
- “How do you define ‘dreams?'”
Tianyi’s dream is to keeping on singing beautiful songs.
- “What would your ideal life look like?”
Unsurprisingly, Tianyi’s ideal life is also to sing more songs and dance for fans’ enjoyment.
- “What do you imagine for automobiles in the future?”
Tianyi hopes to automobiles that are able to fly someday!
- “What do the internet slang terms XSWL/AWSL/CQY mean?”
Tianyi answer each one perfectly:
・XSWL = xiào sǐ wǒ le (“laughing to death” / LOL)
・AWSL = Ah, wǒ sǐ le (“Ah, I’m dead” / swooning, fan gushing)
・CQY = chù Q yǒu (“friend on QQ“)
Yang conceded defeat after that last question. Being a father of a 15-year-old girl himself, he could never understand social media lingo that she uses. He thus acknowledges Tianyi as a fearless, free-spirited and unhindered girl – qualities that Ford Motor Company also exemplifies – and as someone who understands the mindset and social communication culture of young people well.
The video then proceeds to introduce the new Ford Lingjie S car model which Tianyi says she is thoroughly impressed by.
Yang even points out one important aspect that both Tianyi and the Lingjie S have in common: just like how Tianyi can bring together her fans who otherwise know one another to celebrate the common adoration that they all share for her, so too can the Lingjie S become a symbol of socialization and connection with its highly developed entertainment and communication systems.
Tianyi thus plugs the Lingjie S for its socialization technology that allows for constant and uninterrupted communication. She also expresses her hope that both she and the automobile can connect people and bring them more joy. Who ever thought that cars could someday be equated with VOCALOID culture this way?
She then concludes the video by performing 66CCFF for us!
Tianyi once again proves that she certainly has a knack for crossing dimensional boundaries to interact with and entertain her fans in the 3D world. Stay tuned to see what the Vsinger does next!
