MEIKO 15th Anniversary Illustration Contest on piapro Now Underway
Fans of MEIKO got to enjoy her milestone 15th anniversary on November 5th, 2019, and the love for the first ever VOCALOID from Crypton Future Media hasn’t waned one bit since. And to take full advantage of the fervor, piapro has announced a new illustration contest themed around MEIKO’s 15th Anniversary!

Acceptable Characters
Main character: MEIKO
※ MEIKO must be included in your illustration
Sub-characters: Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO
※ Sub-characters may be drawn with MEIKO, though MEIKO must be the focus of the illustration; sub-characters are optional
Entries must abide by the piapro character license.

Illustration size: 29.7cm (H) x 42cm (W) (A3 width size)
Format: png or jpg
Color mode: RGB
Resolution: at least 300 dpi
After uploading, tag your entry with the hashtag #MEIKO15周年
Then tag lock (タグロック) it
Cautionary Points
Your entry will be disqualified if you put any text in the illustration. Only the official logo numbers on the arms of the characters are allowed.
Derivative characters (like Snow Miku, Mikudayo, etc.) are not allowed.
Outfit rules:
- ALLOWED:
– Any official box art costume
– Any variations of the official box art costumes
– Any original designs - NOT ALLOWED:
– Any costumes from video games, anime, or other third party copyrighted works
In order to prevent your illustration from being used in someone’s MV while the contest is going on, make sure to avoid licensing your entry by selecting the “ライセンス条件付けずに投稿する” option when you upload your entry.
It might be necessary for the contest organizers to crop your design.
If your entry is selected to win, it will be converted to CMYK color mode to be printed out. This may result in some color change in your entry.
The contest organizers may require you to provide a high-resolution version of your illustration.
Entrants younger than 18 years of age must supply parental or guardian consent.
Entries must be the work of a single individual; entries created by companies or a group of people are not allowed.
Make sure to not change your email address after completing your entry.
You are solely responsible if claims are filed against your entry for infringing on the rights of any third party. The contest organizers bear no responsibility.
Your entry must be an original work that has never been uploaded online before or used in other contests.
The final entry day before the deadline is often flooded with entries, and yours may not be uploaded in time, so please upload your entry well ahead of the deadline.
Under no circumstances will any more entries be accepted after the deadline.
Entries and their information (titles, descriptions, etc.) cannot be modified after the deadline.
Your nickname that will be displayed with your entry will be the one that you set at the licensing step. If a name is not set, then your piapro nickname piapro ID will be displayed instead.
