AHS Announces Recotte Studio
VOICEROID products from AHS have seen a lot of different uses, but their most popular use has been for video narration. A search for VOICEROID on Niconico will result in a lot of Let’s Play videos, no doubt their most common usage. More in-depth searches can also yield VOICEROID cooking videos, VOICEROID travel videos, VOICEROID product introduction videos, and many more! If you got a video to narrate, a VOICEROID can do it for you!
So it naturally follows that AHS would develop a narration video creation tool that utilizes the VOICEROID brand, serving as a “shortcut” for VOICEROID users to already make such videos with them.
So, enter Recotte Studio, the new narrated video creation software from AHS! This handy tool combines VOICEROID voices, avatar icons and pictures, captions and subtitles, video editing, and more all into one product so that VOICEROID video creators won’t have to make each of those video aspects separately with different software for each.
Recotte Studio Features
Included in Recotte Studio’s product, you’ll find:
- 391 graphic icons (i.e. symbols, sound effects, speech bubbles, pop-up words that you see in manga and comics, etc.) that can be overlaid in a video
- 3D models of VOICEROID characters*
- Actions that those 3D models can perform
- A 2D character creation tool using model data from 2D drawings of characters
- The ability to import sound and text files created on VOCAOID products, and have the 3D and 2D models in Recotte Studio recite them with lip-synching and onscreen text
- The ability to drag & drop and edit those spoken lines right in Recotte Studio for easy video narration

This guidebook from Sansai Books is called “はじめよう！実況動画制作 Recotte Studio使いこなしガイド” (roughly meaning ‘Let’s Begin! A Guide to Mastering the Narrated Video Maker, Recotte Studio) can teach beginner video makers how to create using Recotte Studio. They’ll start with basic lessons, then move on to more specific functions until you’ve mastered the software!
