Hatsune Miku GT Project 100th Race Anniversary Fan Art Contest
Good morning/afternoon/evening Miku fans and illustrators! In order to celebrate 100 races for Goodsmile Racing, they’ve teamed up with piapro to bring us a new illustration competition to get stuck into! Let’s all celebrate the hundredth race by drawing plenty of Mikus! Ready, set go, let’s get drawing!
Details of the competition
- Submission dates: from 17th August 2020 at 11PM until 19th October 2020 at 5PM (JST)
- Theme: お祝い (“celebration”)
- Characters allowed: Racing Miku 2010 Ver. to 2020 Ver. only.

Information about submitting your entry
- Size of submission: Horizontal 2894 pixels (W) x 4093 pixels (H), so A4 size.
- Amount of submissions allowed: one entrant can enter as many times as they like, but only one entry can be chosen to win at the end of the competition overall.
- Color mode for submissions: RGB
- Required file format: JPEG
- Resolution: 350dpi or higher
- Licensing: Do NOT set a license for your entry. Licenses cannot be changed after posting your entry, so the only way to change this would be to delete and re-upload your entry
- Tags: whatever tags you use, make sure to include the 「GT100戦記念レーシングミク」 tag when you post to piapro, otherwise your entry won’t be counted. When posting your design, any current competition or collaboration tags will be displayed with other popular tags. Also make sure to lock said tag.
- Your entry must NOT have been published anywhere else or entered into any other previous competitions.
- The final day of submitting competition entries, the website may face an influx of entries which can cause delays to uploading posts. Therefore please try to upload entries slightly earlier than 19th October 2020 to avoid this. Anything posted after the entry deadline will NOT be eligible for participation.
- Anyone underage will need permission from a parent or guardian to join in with the competition. Being “underage” should depend on the law where you live, since the page lists “18” as being an adult, while “20” is cited as the age of becoming an adult in Japan.
- If you are selected to win, all following correspondence will be in Japanese. Hence why you will most probably need to have a reasonable knowledge of the language if you decide to enter the competition.
Since this is a collaboration with piapro, all illustrations need to be submitted via their official website! You can log in here, or create an account here to get started.
Other illustration notes
- It is possible to draw multiple “target characters” (GSR Miku designs from 2010 to 2020) in one single illustration.
- Illustrations that do not include the target character or include the non-target character will NOT be eligible for the competition. Even if the character HAS had an official GSR costume before (e.g Kagamine Rin/Megurine Luka/Sonico), they cannot be included in the illustration.
- Your work may have to be trimmed prior to being used by GSR etc., so please keep this in mind.
Here are the main illustrations for the ten Racing Miku costumes since 2010 to give you an idea for what you could draw! :

- You can check out all of the official illustrations for Racing Miku on the official GOODSMILE RACING website to get more ideas too (check the “GALLERY section)!
Results are said to be announced on November 6th, 2020, and the winners shall be contacted by email. Results will also be announced on the Piapro blog around the same time.
If you happen to be selected as the winner, you will receive an email ending with “@crypton.co.jp”, sent to the email address attached to your registered Piapro account. The majority (if not all) correspondence will be in Japanese from there on, so please make sure that you are able to converse to a good enough degree with said language in the case that you win.
We wish all of you budding artists the best of luck, and we hope that you’ll enjoy this competition to the fullest!
Thank you for reading,
