“TOKYO:CartoonY figure -Hatsune Miku-” by FuRyu Now Available!
Last week, the Hatsune Miku Official Blog added an entry all about the new TOKYO:CartoonY figure -Hatsune Miku- from FuRyu Corporation that was first announced back in April!
The blog entry described “TOKYO:CartoonY figure” as “the new series of super deformed figures featuring a unique design by cartoonist and illustrator ヒョーゴノスケ / hyogonosuke which delivers a new kind of cuteness in a cartoon style” (unofficial translation).
The adorable Miku figure stands at around 16cm and has a matte texture to match the softness of the original illustration.
The prizes have been releasing since the third week of July to select retailers in Japan. More details about the figure can be found at the Character Plaza homepage here. Information on available retailers can be found at this website by clicking on the button “取扱店舗を探す” (Find a Retailer).
Since Miku is the first of the figure series, expect to see more of our beloved characters turned into a cute, cartoon figure!
The artist, ヒョーゴノスケ / hyogonosuke, also tweeted their thoughts on their illustration being turned into a figure!
One of my illustrations was turned into a figure for the very first time! I’m so moved!
You can get her by playing a UFO catcher game at game centers.
If you’ve come to like the artist’s work, be sure to follow them on Twitter here, and visit their official site here!
