Background and Teasers
This is the event that the mysterious project called “Project G” has been teasing for months, starting with this cryptic trailer from May.
Furthermore, the official twitter account for this event, back when it was known as “Project G,” would tweet many teaser tweets starting from July this year, all pointing to a post-apocalyptic digital world after some phenomenon wiped out all of its data, and in which Miku is the sole survivor, wandering around looking for a purpose or comrades.
The teases all culminated in this one final trailer that was uploaded yesterday, September 2, 2020.

Now the teasers have ended, and we finally have details on what “Project G” is about!

Tickets to HATSUNE MIKU GALAXY LIVE 2020 will be completely free!
That being said, you do still need a ticket in order to watch the show. They will become available starting on September 5 at 12:00 PM (JST), so expect a ticket site to be revealed on that day.
Theme Song
Title: 水色侵略 / Mizuiro Shinryaku (Light Blue Invasion)
Produced by ナユタン星人 / NayutalieN, the song is described as having an “outer space” and “near future” vibe to it, perfect for HATSUNE MIKU GALAXY LIVE 2020.
The official MV for the song will go live on NayutalieN’s YouTube channel on September 4 at 7:00 PM (JST), so be sure to catch it live then!
Commentary from NayutalieN:
“This was my first time writing the theme song for a VOCALOID concert and it’s something that I’ve longed to do as a VOCALOID fan. Furthermore, the idea of a virtual live concert on a virtual reality space sounds irresistible to me as a lover of near-future science fiction. For this event, I created a song filled to the brim with my feelings and love for all things VOCALOID, Miku, outer space, live concerts, and futurism.”
Main Visual
The main visual piece to promote HATSUNE MIKU GALAXY LIVE 2020 was illustrated by のう / nou. It is meant to depict Miku reaching up towards the night sky, towards a galaxy that she’s never seen before, and give viewers the sense that a brand new story is about to unfold.
Commentary:
“This nou, and I had the honor of illustrating the main visual for this event. I created this piece with the hope that Miku’s voice, and the thoughts and feelings of creators and fans everywhere could reach all corners of the world, even going beyond this planet and into outer space.”
Meanwhile, the outfit design was by handled by kannnu, combing the “galaxy” theme with a formal dress for a very unique style.
In the tweet below, kannnu expresses how honored they are to be able to work with Miku, whom they have loved since listening to メルト / Melt on Niconico in high school. Through their design, they hope that fans can see with their own eyes Miku’s courage in taking on a new challenge.
Commentary:
“The dev team expressed how they want to create something that would change everything that people think they know about virtual reality concerts, something I was excited to be a part of. How cool it’d be if we could serve as the driving force to propel everyone in the world towards the future (or even outer space). Nothing would make me happier than seeing this image of Miku taking on new challenges remain in the hearts and minds of all, if even just for a moment.”

First, download the INSPIX LIVE app:

Once you have downloaded and launched the app, tap on 新規登録 (Registration)
On the next screen,
1) Enter your email
2) Tap OK
If you see a message saying “ご案内を送りしました (We have sent you instructions),” then you should get an email from INSPIX containing a link to continue registration.
Open the link in the email and enter on the resulting page:
3) Your nickname
4) Your nickname in Hiragana (※look up how to type in Hiragana if you aren’t familiar with the method)
5) Your password
6) Your password again for confirmation
7) Check to agree to their privacy policy
8) Check to accept their user agreement
9) Tap OK
You should see a screen saying “ご登録ありがとうございました” indicating that your account has been successfully created.
Then tap the green button saying “INSPIX LIVEのアプリを開いてログイン” to return to the home screen. Once on the home screen, tap “ログイン (log in)”
On the next screen, enter:
10) Your email address (the one you used to sign up)
11) Your password
12) Tap ログイン to log in
You can then change your nickname if desired, or re-log in with Twitter.
Finally, visit inspix-live.com, find the tickets for HATSUNE MIKU GALAXY LIVE 2020, and tap on 申し込みへ (Go to application page) and purchase your ticket for 0 coins!
