Chiba Urban Monorail To Unveil Special “MIKU_FLYER-Evo.Ⅱ” Train Car
MAGICAL MIRAI 2020 will be held in both Tokyo and Osaka, and it seems like the Tokyo event will have plenty of exciting stalls to look forward to as well! One of the groups who’ll be exhibiting will be Chiba Urban Monorail (seeing as MM2020 in TOKYO will be held at the Mekuhari Messe in Chiba), and they’ll have plenty for fans to get involved with! Promotional illustration
This year’s promo illustration was created by 栗栖 歳 (Kurisu toshi)! Miku has been designed after the concept of “mechanic” while Rin and Len are station attendants:

*PIICA card/pass cases are card cases which have LEDs inside, and they light up when the card inside is scanned. General collab event details:
The “MIKU FLYER” shall be running again, same as in 2018 and 2019, but this time, it’ll be under the name of “MIKU FLYER Evo II”!
Period of operation: December 9th 2020 ~ March 9th 2021
- A special headmark will be put up on the train (on the front AND back)
- The train carriages will be decorated with both the Magical Mirai 2020 in TOKYO illustration and MIKU FLYER promotional art, featuring Miku, Rin and Len
- The inside of the carriages will also be decorated with the piapro characters
- The departure melody for the train will be changed to 「愛されなくても君がいる」/ “Aisarenakute mo Kimi ga Iru”(Departure melody arrangement)
- The announcement played when doors are closing on the train will be changed to Miku’s voice!
Installation of Life-sized cut-outs at Chiba Stations
Life-size cut-out panels will be placed at four of Chiba’s train stations – Chiba Minato Station, Chiba Station, Tsuba Station and Chishirodai Station! If you’re in the area, you can head to any of the above stations during the collaboration duration and take photos with Miku!
On the panels will be a special QR code. If you scan the QR code successfully and show the staff at the station, you’ll be able to receive a “Collaboration 3rd Anniversary” themed sticker!
Distribution period: December 9th 2020 ~ March 9th 2021
