Winner for the theme “Mysterious Thief” – Women
Title of work:「ファントム・バッド」/ “Phantom Bad”
Design by 千寿 さん (@senju_t10)
Time it’ll be available in-game: April 2021
Judges comments:
A dark “mysterious thief” design which effectively incorporates the motif of a bat!
While giving off a rather dignified feeling, there is good contrast what with showing skin in some places, and each aspect and pattern used also creates a cool and delicate, so I would like to actually see such a mysterious thief! This design was chosen with this in mind!
Other notable points from the artist:
“This is a female outfit which has a bat as the motif. I tried to aim to create a design which had a distinctly adult yet cute look.”
- Cloak – It looks kind of like a sailor collar, but also has a more vampiric vibe, as it stands up at the neck.
- The top of the sleeves look like bat ears.
- Silk hat – The hat has a venetian mask attached to it based on the idea of a bat. The frills on the back look worn out.
- Hat – there’s a chunk bitten out of the back of the hat (which also allows for characters with twintails to wear this accessory comfortably).
- Tailcoat corset belt – looks a bit like a pair of wings
Winner for the theme “Mysterious Thief” – Men
Title of work:「Phantom Thief」
Design by Dove (@dove_4321)
Time it’ll be available in-game: April 2021
Judges comments:
The stylish form based on the colours white and gold, and the lining of the cape in the middle of his back is all wonderful!
The noble path of the gentleman phantom thief was chosen because of how fashionably it’s been finished as a whole design!
The winning designs for “Mysterious Thief” will be featured as items as part of the Premium Mission Pass throughout April 2021*! Artists whose work is featured in the game will also be added to the game credits, and receive a 3,000 yen Amazon gift voucher!
Example of what the Premium Mission Pass looks like in-game for reference:
*Please note that the Premium Mission Pass is a pay-to-access feature. It costs 1960 yen for the whole month, and gives you “paid” crystals (x1800) and Virtual Coins (x1800). To unlock the outfit for Premium Mission Pass, you’ll need to earn approximately 5000 Live Points before the end of the month. For other colourways of the featured outfit, you’ll need to earn 6000, 7000 and 8000 Live Points before the end of the given month.
Big congratulations to the winners, and well done to everyone who tried their best with applying for the competition! As of now, there’s still the third round of Project SEKAI design contests underway until the end of this month, so make sure to try to join in with that one too if possible.
