RADIO MIKU x piapro Station Jingle & Banner Illustration Contest Now Underway
RADIO MIKU has begun hitting airwaves on radiko right on New Year’s Day 2021 at 9:30 PM (JST)! During their pilot episode, Ai Shimizu read messages of support submitted by fans (including our own!), played three wonderful Miku songs for listeners (星のカケラ / Hoshi no Kakera, Blue Star, and never ender), and gave fans an idea of what projects to look forward to from the CBC Radio collaboration in celebration of their upcoming 70th anniversary!
Details for several of these projects have been revealed today: a new illustration and a pair of new piapro contests! Read on for details about each!
New Illustration
Another new official illustration of Miku in her outfit themed around car parts from おぐち / Oguchi was revealed, capturing the concept of “Creation” that empowers both Tokai Area industries, and the Hatsune Miku movement as a whole!
Artist commentary (unofficial translation):
“Aichi may be well known for its manufacturing industry, but I still remember how moved I felt when I first saw fusuma-e art at a prefectural museum there, recreated to look just as it did in ancient times so that visitors could more easily appreciate its beauty. I found myself wondering if it’s a skill of local artisans with deep knowledge of this kind of art. When the world situation settles down, I’d like to travel around there and see more.”

What’s more, a pair of new piapro contests are going on now, collecting entries for jingles and banner illustrations! Both contests will run from now until late August 2021, and new winners will be chosen monthly to see and hear their works used for the radio program from April to September!
Station Jingle Contest Details
- Theme: Radio Jingle
- Submission period: January 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM (JST) ~ August 23, 2021 at 5:00 PM (JST)
- Prizes: Hearing your jingle played on all CBC Radio programs for 1 month + campaign goods
- Number of winners: 1 per month
- Target Character: Hatsune Miku
※Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and/or KAITO can be used in the chorus - Qualifications:

Entry Guidelines
- Jingle length: 5 sec, 10 sec, 20 sec, or 30 sec (multiple entries of varying lengths are acceptable)
- File type: MP3
- Tag: Upload your entry to piapro with the tag “ＣＢＣラジオ＿ジングル” then tag lock (タグロック) it
- You may enter as many entries as you like
You must upload your entry with the following license settings:
- Not-for-Profit
– Yes - May be omit your name?
– Yes - May we make alternations to your work?
– Yes - Attach a license to your work?

※Failure to set these licensing conditions will results in your work not being accepted for the contest

Notes:
- Please include the phrase “CBC Radio” (Japanese pronunciation [‘shiibiishii rajio‘)] or English pronunciation) in your jingle lyrics.
- Your entry must be an original, unlicensed work that has never been uploaded online before or used in other contests.
- Your entry can be in any musical genre.
Caution Points:
- If you use lyrics for your jingle, you must submit them either as a text upload or in the entry’s description. If you submit them as a separate text upload, make sure to register it as a “関連する作品” (related work)
- Entries that are not displayed on the contest entry list here will not be eligible. Please make sure that your entry appears hear upon uploading it.
- Please make sure to not use your entry in other collaborations or videos until the winners of this contest are determined.

- Theme: radiko banner illustration
- Submission period: January 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM (JST) ~ August 23, 2021 at 5:00 PM (JST)
- Prizes: Seeing your illustrations used as radiko program banners for 1 month + campaign goods
- Number of winners: 1~2 per month
- Target Character: Hatsune Miku

- Entry file size: 960px × 600px, or 1920px × 1200px (winning entry will be shrunk to 480px × 300px in the end)
- File type: JPEG, PNG
- Color mode: RGB
- Resolution: at least 350dpi
- Tag: Upload your entry to piapro with the tag “ＣＢＣラジオ＿バナー” then tag lock (タグロック) it
- You may enter as many entries as you like

– Character outfits that were introduced in video games, manga, or anime - Please make sure to not use your entry in other collaborations or videos until the winners of this contest are determined
- The contest organizers may crop your illustration entry if they deem necessary
Other Rules for Both Contests:
- Entrants younger than 18 years of age must supply parental or guardian consent.
- Entries created by companies or a group of people are not allowed.
- Multiple people are allowed to contribute to a single entry, but please supply the contact information for only one person to act as representative
- Make sure to not change your email address after completing your entry.
- You are solely responsible if claims are filed against your entry for infringing on the rights of any third party. The contest organizers bear no responsibility.
- Your entry must be an original work that has never been uploaded online before or used in other contests.
- The final entry day before the deadline is often flooded with entries, and yours may not be fully processed in time, so please upload your entry well ahead of the deadline.
※The upload date (投稿日) for your entry is the date that your song was received, not the date for when it was fully processed - Under no circumstances will any more entries be accepted after the deadline.
- Entries and their information (titles, descriptions, etc.) cannot be modified after the deadline.
- Your nickname that will be displayed with your entry will be the one that you set at the licensing step. If a name is not set, then your piapro nickname piapro ID will be displayed instead.
- Results will be announced sometime in September, and the winning entrants will be contacted by email from Crypton Future Media with @crypton.co.jp its address name, so please make sure that the email address used with your piapro account can receive emails from them.
