Pocari Sweat “Urupoca” x Hatsune Miku Contest Results
We first heard about Pocari Sweat’s newest contest late last year, and now we finally have the results, where we can find out who’s earned their year’s supply of the refreshing beverage (among other prizes).
The concept of the contest was to create illustrations featuring Miku and Pocari Sweat, or write an anecdote based on your experiences featuring the product in question. There were a whopping 222 winners in total, and here we’ll take a look at the illustrations primarily.

When I was little, my brother bought me a Pocari Sweat in place of my parents (who were both working) when I caught a cold. When winter comes, I get reminded of my brother buying Pocari Sweat from a vending machine as I look into my snow globe.

1. Back in high school, I told my boyfriend that I’d gone and caught a cold. As I was on my way home from club activities, my boyfriend was waiting at the school gate with Pocari. What a lovely day that was…
2. When I give Pocari to my friend who says they couldn’t sing because they lost their voice, they started singing beautifully after drinking some of it! If Pocari were to disappear, so would their voice – Pocari sure is amazing! ♪
3. I was depressed at Christmas because I didn’t have a date, but Pocari Sweat moistened my dry heart.
4．I tend to go running in Winter. I like to run in the cold air before the morning starts. But to keep the body warm, you naturally keep running, and you’ll notice how much your sweating. Pocari, which can be easily bought from a vending machine nearly anywhere, will always be my go-to for supporting my running sessions.
5. After using every ounce of strength to shovel snow, being able to sink into a warm bath and drink Pocari is just…. so revitalising~ (#^^#)
6. It feels good when I’m exercising on a cold day and the surrounding temperature is low, but I can feel my body temperature warming up, and I’ll drink Pocari, and it feels like the drink is spreading through my body like growing roots of a tree.
7. There was me, crying, frustrated because we decided to postpone our wedding, and he passed over the Pocari sweat with a gentle “drink this”. The Pocari he went out of his way to buy at the convenience store was so, so warm.
8. It was Winter, and I was able to participate as a main team member during club activities for the first time. The enthusaism was there, but I didn’t have enough skill, and I made a series of mistakes, so they swapped me out with someone else ASAP. Returning to the bench, the taste of thge Pocari was dekicious, but bittersweet nonetheless.
9. I first found Pocari Sweat at a ski resort vending machine and bought it. The boyfriend I shared that Pocari with is still by my side now.
10. I sweat more than expected when tidying my house. After cleaning the kitchen, I’ll reach into the now-gleaming refrigerator, grab a bottle of Pocari Sweat and drink it all in one go. It tasted delicious!
