Information about submitting your entry
Submissions will need to be published on the piapro website! If you don’t have an account with piapro yet, you can make one here.
- Size of submission: applicants must use the template provided (see below)
- Amount of submissions allowed: one entrant can enter as many times as they like, but only one entry can be chosen to win at the end of the competition overall.
- Color mode for submissions: RGB
- Required file format: JPEG / PNG
- Resolution: 350dpi
- Licensing: Do NOT set a license for your entry. Licenses cannot be changed after posting your entry, so the only way to change this would be to delete and re-upload your entry
- Tags: whatever tags you use, make sure to include the “2022年雪ミク衣装” tag, otherwise your entry won’t be counted. When posting your design, any current competition or collaboration tags will be displayed with other popular tags. Also make sure to lock said tag.
- Your entry must NOT have been published anywhere else or entered into any other previous competitions.
- The final day of submitting competition entries, the website may face an influx of entries which can cause delays to uploading posts. Therefore please try to upload entries slightly earlier than April 19th 2021 to avoid this. Anything posted after the entry deadline will NOT be eligible for participation.
- Anyone underage will need permission from a parent or guardian to join in with the competition. Being “underage” should depend on the law where you live, since the page lists “18” as being an adult, while “20” is cited as the age of becoming an adult in Japan.
- If you are selected to win, all following correspondence will be in Japanese. Hence why you will most probably need to have a reasonable knowledge of the language if you decide to enter the competition (you may be consulted about any potential alterations to the design etc. so please be keep this in mind).
Design guidelines
- Please ensure to use the templates provided.
- Please note that very detailed/complex designs might not be able to be easily recreated in Nendoroid form, so try not to overcomplicate things. The final winning design may be adjusted for this reason.
- This may seem like an obvious one, but make sure that you don’t copy someone else’s work. Not only is plagiarism illegal, but this will cause a lot of hassle and will potentially lead to your entry being disqualified.
As a little extra note, the contest theme specifies the “Hokkaido seas”, so it’s a good idea to do research about Hokkaido to inform your design for Snow Miku. Snow Miku is intended as a representative of Hokkaido after all!
Template
The template is available either in a JPEG or PNG format

**UPDATE ON APRIL 2, 2021**
piapro has now added some extra guidelines for the template to help answer questions that you may have!
If you’re curious about the submissions that have been made for the contest so far, or are looking for inspiration for your own piece, check out this page!
Results are said to be announced sometime in April 2021, and the winner shall be contacted by email. Results will also be announced on the Piapro blog around the same time.
If you happen to be selected as the winner, you will receive an email ending with “@crypton.co.jp”, sent to the email address attached to your registered Piapro account. As mentioned before, the majority (if not all) correspondence will be in Japanese from there on, so please make sure that you are able to converse to a good enough degree with said language in the case that you win.
Good luck to everyone who submits an entry!
