Otomachi Una 5th Anniversary Illustration Contest
Time really does feel like it’s flying by – we can’t believe it’s been five whole years since VOCALOID Otomachi Una came into the world! In the past year she’s made it into mobile game Project SEKAI, had a collab with mobile app Ekimemo! Our rails, and even unveiled new merchandise for her official online store, to name but a few things. And while she’s also been supporting and conversing with fellow vocal synths on Twitter (such as Tsurumaki Maki), now the time has come to shine a spotlight on her, and celebrate her upcoming anniversary.
For all our artists in the community, found out all the details for how you can celebrate below!

- Your piece needs to be an image featuring Otomachi Una, in a way that it is clearly her (i.e. completely changing her hairstyle or body type would make her look less recognisable.) You can use official Una designs (e.g. her Sugar, Spicy, Talk versions) or your own design, but with the latter, it must be easy to recognise that it’s a drawing of Una.
- Your artwork needs to be 1378 pixels (width) X 2039 pixels (length) in size and 350dpi.
- Please make sure to retain the original art file even after submitting an entry, just in case the organisers need it, or any adjustments need to be made.
- Please don’t use any fonts or freely available materials in your work
- Imagery featuring anything train related aren’t necessary, but feel free to add them!
- You can submit as many entries as you wish!
- Please note that there may be some differences in colour if your winning artwork is in a CMYK format, since this will be transferred to a RGB format for printing in the calendar and for the in-train decorations.
- Please DO NOT post your artwork to anywhere else (aside from Tinami) until at least 2 months after the winners for this contest have been announced. If you’d like to share your artwork in the meantime, you’re allowed to share a link to your upload from Tinami to e.g. Twitter or Facebook.
The main prizes will for be winning the calendar competition, but you may also be able to have your art featured on the Unapipigo train too, something which is pretty cool in itself!
