MIKU BREAK ver.1.0 Coming on February 24, 2022
Those who watched and enjoyed MIKU BREAK ver.0.9 last December will be in for a treat on February 24, 2022 when the next step of the project, MIKU BREAK ver.1.0, will be performed live!
In addition to the live show – which will again be broadcasted online – fans also get to enjoy something else this time around: a new game app to get everyone hyped for the show two weeks prior! Read on to learn more about how the MIKU BREAK project will be evolving!

MIKU BREAK App
A brand new MIKU BREAK experience that anyone – venue and online attendees alike – can enjoy is the MIKU BREAK app!
Released on February 10, 2022, two weeks before MIKU BREAK ver.1.0, the app lets you interact with Miku in a special story and train her for the upcoming show. Players can also make their own Miku rap melody using the app’s Rap mode and share their works online. Learn more about the app below!

Starting up the MIKU BREAK App
Upon starting MIKU BREAK for the first time, you will be asked to sign in to RimiX.
If you do not have a RimiX account, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap on where it says 新規登録 (New member registration).
After creating a RimiX account with either your email or social media account (Facebook, Twitter or Apple ID), you will be asked to enter an account name. Enter any name that you like, noting that it is limited to 8 characters long.
If all is successful, then you will be taken to the main menu and can start enjoying the MIKU BREAK app!
Story Mode
In the app’s Story mode, you get to read eight chapters (final one becomes available on February 25) with multiple sub-chapters that show Miku’s journey as she learns about hip hop culture and trains to get ready for the big show on February 24. Reading these chapters will grant you items that you will need to play other modes.
Throughout the Story mode, you’ll see certain terms appear in pink. These are Tips about hip hop lingo and other terminology that you can collect by tapping on and reading about them. Tap on all Tips to complete the story and collect items. You can even review the Tips that you collect by opening the Item List from the main menu!
Furthermore, you also get to watch Miku meet and interact with the CONDENSE members in the Story mode, letting you get to know all of the performers!
Pet Raising Mode
After reading the first story chapter, you may notice a pixelated Miku appearing on the main menu. You may have also noticed that upon logging in, you received a candy item.
These candy items are called Break Drops, and they can be given to Miku when she’s feeling hungry to help liven (and level) her up! To do so, just tap on the candy icon and select “OK”.
After feeding Miku, a timer will appear above the candy icon. This shows you how long you have to wait until Miku feels hungry again, and when you can feed her more. You can collect Break Drops by reading each chapter of the Story mode and collecting Tips, and also by logging in to the app each day. Make sure to keep Miku happy and fed, and she’ll continue ranking up!
Rap Mode
In MIKU BREAK’s Rap mode, you can create your own custom rap melody with Miku and other members singing lyrics that you put together! Here’s the screen for the app’s Rap mode and how to navigate it:
- Select background beat
- Airhorn sound effect (using this turns off the background beat)
- Bass drum sound effect
- Snare drum sound effect
- Cymbal crash sound effect
- Lyrics boxes (tap on these to make Miku sing them)
- Change list of lyrics (unlock more by reading chapters in the Story mode)
- How to Play
Experiment and try out any combination of lyrics that you can think of in this mode, and create your own custom Miku rap! See below for some examples!
