🔻We Went to Teto Day 2026!🔻
April 1st marked Kasane Teto’s “birthday”, and fans in the UK (alongside some international guests) gathered for VOCAFEST UK’s Teto Day fan event… which contrary to the title, ended up being two days altogether. If you weren’t able to make it to either dates, you can find out more and check out the full concert from Saturday below!
Promo Art
What really stood out to me at the beginning was the stunning promotional art for the event! The main visual was made by the incredibly talented BENNOPI:
As someone familiar with the area, I loved seeing their interpretation of Piccadilly Circus with the iconic London buses depicted alongside silly Teto references!
BENNOPI also made this key visual:
…and the chibi designs were made by Nono Blondel (click the arrow to scroll through all of them):
Merchandise
The above artworks were also featured on merchandise made exclusively for the Teto Day event, including their really cool happi jackets:
Teto Day Prelude
Tickets for day one (scheduled for April 4th) sold out fast, so the team added an extra day called “Teto Day Prelude” on Friday, April 3rd in response to the overwhelming demand. They also held a preview of the first half of the Friday show, streamed live to their YouTube from 17:30 PM.
Prelude was a simplified version of the main event, without any of the workshops, and the concert was shown from 20:00.
Teto Day
The main day of the event was split into two halves – the day show and the night show – and we arrived just in time for the latter! The venue (Union Theatre) was the same as for their Halloween event “Spookyfest” event back in October last year: a cozy street-level venue tucked away under train tracks south of the River Thames.
Just outside the entrance was Vocafest’s merchandise stall, where they sold a mix of officially licensed items from the likes of MOEYU, as well as their own goods, such as glowsticks and acrylic stands modelled after the vocal synths featuring prominently in their events.

Workshops
While Vocafest’s concerts are the main attraction, they also held workshops at the Saturday event, such as a dance workshop with coscole, and they offered free Teto Pear-making sessions throughout the day:

The low-res images of Teto’s face on 3D renditions of low-poly pears really bring everything together, don’t you think?
Collab Drinks
I love a good collab drink, and just like Spookyfest, there were a selection of character-themed drinks available for purchase, with all options being available as alcoholic or non-alcoholic versions*:

… I thought the photos came out well, but then I looked back and realised the lighting in the bar area made them look like…this. If memory serves right, the alcoholic versions were £10 each, and non-alcoholic ones were slightly cheaper (Kaito Water was around £1.50 or so). You can see the menu better in their Instagram post here.
We got the Teto Day Punch and Kagamine Sunset, both alcoholic. I personally liked both, but the Teto punch was much sweeter, making it my favourite of the two. Please imagine the Teto drink is bright red and the Kagamine drink is…well.. orange juice-coloured.
I only just noticed the pun in Akari’s drink name (lol).
I didn’t get any photos, but the staff also placed baguettes around the venue, which we gratefully munched on throughout the night.
*except Kaito Water. Not sure how you’d make that one alcoholic, unless you filled a water bottle with vodka…
Setlist Callbooks
No Vocafest event would be complete without their iconic cardboard cutout! There were also Teto Day “callbooks” placed beneath the Miku standee:

I love collecting tangible pieces of media related to vocal synths, and you can tell a LOT of care went into these booklets! They’ve taken pride of place on my bookshelf.
Not only will you find the list of Teto songs used for the concerts inside, but also explanations of key terms related to things like wotagei (a combination of chanting, dancing and singing with glowsticks/penlights typically seen at idol concerts in Japan).

Vocafest Concert
Of course the most exciting part was the concert though! If you want to experience (or re-experience) it yourself, the Vocafest team uploaded the full show to YouTube a week after the event, and you can check it out here! :
The crowd was hyped throughout, but I’ll list some of my favourite moments here:
🔻SETLIST SPOILERS BELOW 🔻
チェチェ・チェック・ワンツー!/ Check Check Check One Two! by 和田たけあき / Wada Takeaki
An unmistakeably “Wada Takeaki” song, this time featuring an adorable model of Yuzuki Yukari in a purple school uniform! I regret to say I don’t listen to this song often enough – something which will certainly change post-Teto Day.

アカリがやってきたぞっ / Akari Has Arrived by GYARI
Never did I think that I’d ever see this song live. I mean, GYARI’s songs don’t especially fit the concert vibe, but I’m really happy they included it in the setlist, because it was so much fun! The visuals made it that bit more amusing too:

ピニャコラーダ / Pina Colada by ねじ式 / Nejishiki
This song has become a recent favourite of mine, especially after fellow VocaSphere member, Marumain, kindly gifted me a copy of Nejishiki’s BEST OF DIVA2 album, which the producer signed in front of me! It’s rare to see a song using both Yuzuki Yukari AND IA, so I think it was a really great choice to add to the roster for Teto Day!

ENCORE
ヒアソビ / Play With Fire by かめりあ / Camellia
I’m really annoyed that I didn’t check this song out sooner after its release because it’s so good!! I’ve heard it and seen the choreography at Vocafest shows in the past but Hiasobi genuinely is my favourite song they play. I’m glad they opened my eyes (ears) to its brilliance.

吉原ラメント / Yoshiwara Lament by 亜沙 / Asa
Despite it being such an iconic Teto song from her early years, Teto Day was the first time I got to hear it live! Her model looked beautiful, and the kimono sleeves swooshed effortlessly through the air as she danced.

DJ Sets
To round off the night, a series of DJs played vocal synth-inspired sets to get the audience hyped again… if they weren’t already exhausted, that is! The lineup was as follows:
19:15 – RineP
19:50 – SARE
20:25 – Askey
21:00 – Oyasugumi
21:35 – DJ Osu!
22:10 – Kanro

Definitely drop them a follow in case they’ll be coming to a similar event near you in the future!
Signature Wall
Just before we left, we noticed the signature wall filled with illustrations and messages from concert-goers… even the security staff got involved, so we had to leave our mark as well!

We were exhausted by the time the event finished, but the scale of Teto Day made it easy to meet people and make new friends, all while enjoying Teto-approved baguettes and drinking our collab cocktails. If you got too hot or tired, you could retire to the chill area or benches outside, which was nice (especially because it got super hot with everyone crammed in the concert venue together).
After going to multiple vsynth-associated events in various countries over the past few years, it’s great to know that the UK-based community is thriving, and grassroots concerts like this are only getting better and better, thanks especially to the amazing work by the Vocafest team!
They also host fan concerts at conventions across Europe, with their next stop being HanaCon in Hannover, Germany, so keep an eye out in case a Vocafest-powered event will be coming to a city near you!
Thank you to Vocafest for inviting us, and for putting on yet another unforgettable event!
