Lily’s 10th Anniversary Song Contest Announced
Just a few days ago, on August 25th, we celebrated Lily’s 10th anniversary (wow, has it been that long already?!) and the same as for fellow VOCALOID GUMI, VOCALOTRACKS is holding another one of its regular original song contests for us to get involved in! The concept works in basically the same way as with the other competitions we’ve covered recently, so keep reading to find out exactly how you can participate!
Contest Details
Compose and submit an original song using any of the following voice banks for Lily:
Entry Period
September 2nd 2020 to September 30th 2020 at 3:00 PM (JST)
Rules
If you do not have an account with VOCALOTRACKS, you can sign up for one here where you will need to fill in the following information:
A: Last name
B: First name
C: Last name in kana
D: First name in kana (we suggest using a name converter if you need help typing your name in kana)
E: Email
F: Email (to confirm)
G: Phone number
H: Password (at least 6 characters long)
I: Password (to confirm)
J: Check the box to agree to the contest terms
K: Hit 登録する (Register)
Your song can be of any genre, provided that it is an original song that does not infringe on any copyright laws.
You will need to supply the following:
- Song data in .wav format, 16bit, 44.1kHz, STEREO; file size must be within 65MB (no more than 6 minutes long)
- Lyrics in .txt format
- Thumbnail in .jpg format, 2500×2500 pixels, aspect ratio 1:1
- Photo of the artist in .jpg format, 2500×2500 pixels, aspect ratio 1:1 (may be used for distribution sites)
- Creator/Artist name for one representing member
- All creator/artist name(s)
- Song title
- Name of the song recording rights holder
- Name of the copyright holder
Each entrant can enter up to 2 song entries.
Winners will have their songs distributed on various music distribution services such as:
- iTunes
- Amazon
- AWA
- KKBOX
- LINE MUSIC
- MORA
- SPOTIFY
- YouTube
- Recochoku
- And more!
Also note that
- entrants under the age of 20 may need to provide written consent from a guardian in regards to application guidelines and precautions to allow the entrant to participate properly and be able to win the competition outright (especially if you come from/are based in Japan).
- In certain cases, VOCALOTRACKS may ask for certain aspects of a song to be edited or changed prior to its release, should it be the winning entry.
