Magical Mirai 2021 Song Contest Now Underway
It’s that exciting time of year again for song producers! The Magical Mirai 2021 song contest is now live on piapro! As always, the winning entry will be performed during the next Magical Mirai live concert as part of the official set list! Read on for details on how to enter!
Magical Mirai 2021
All we know about Magical Mirai 2021 is that it’s happening in November this year in Osaka, and December in Tokyo, much like in 2020! We know this thanks to a little announcement by Rabbit Yukine during the final performance of Magical Mirai 2020’s concert!
Song Contest Details

- Submission period: January 5, 2021 at 5:00 PM (JST) ~ February 23, 2021 at 5:00 PM (JST)
- Number of winners: 1 grand prize winner; some runner-up winners
- Prizes for the Grand Prince Winner:
1. Hearing your song performed at Magical Mirai 2021
2. A pair of tickets to the show (travel expenses not covered), OR an assortment of Magical Mirai 2021 merchandise
3. A ￥100,000 JPY SONICWIRE gift card - Prizes for Runner-Up Winners: ￥30,000 JPY SONICWIRE gift card

You must have a piapro account which you can sign up for here
Your submissions must comply with the piapro characters Creative Commons License - Target Characters: Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and/or KAITO
※This includes any voice bank for the characters (V2, Append, V3, V4X, English, Chinese)
※Entries must comply with the piapro user agreement
- ※Only one character voice many be used per entry
※Entries with any other voice besides that of the main vocalist for any part of the song – including the chorus or for cheering/chanting – will be disqualified
Entry Guidelines
- Song length: no longer than 4 minutes and 30 seconds
- File type: MP3
- Tag: Upload your entry to piapro with the tag “マジカルミライ２０２１＿楽曲” then tag lock (タグロック) it
- You may enter as many entries as you like

Caution Points
- Only successfully entered songs will appear in the entry list here. If your entry does not appear, then check to make sure that everything was entered properly.
- If you upload your song anywhere online besides piapro before the results period, your entry will be disqualified.
- You must upload your song lyrics as text in the description section of your song entry. If you upload the lyrics separately, you must enter it as a related work (関連する作品)
- After your entry is uploaded, time is required to process it. Any work that is processed after the deadline (April 30, 2020) will be disqualified, so make sure to allow plenty of time for processing.
- The final entry day before the deadline is often flooded with entries, and yours may not be fully processed in time, so please upload your entry well ahead of the deadline.
※The upload date (投稿日) for your entry is the date that your song was received, not the date for when it was fully processed - Under no circumstances will any more entries be accepted after the deadline.
- Any contestant under the age of 18 must supply parental or guardian consent.
- Entries created by companies or a group of people are not allowed.
- Multiple people are allowed to contribute to a single entry, but please supply the contact information for only one person to act as representative
- Make sure to not change your email address after completing your entry.
- Your entry must be an original work that has never been uploaded online before or used in other contests.
- You are solely responsible if claims are filed against your entry for infringing on the rights of any third party. The contest organizers bear no responsibility.
- Entries and their information (titles, descriptions, etc.) cannot be modified after the deadline.
- Your nickname that will be displayed with your entry will be the one that you set at the licensing step. If a name is not set, then your piapro nickname piapro ID will be displayed instead.
- Results will be announced sometime in April or May, and the winning entrants will be contacted by email from Crypton Future Media with @crypton.co.jp its address name, so please make sure that the email address used with your piapro account can receive emails from them.
- Winning entrants must submit their song’s audio and any other necessary data to the contest organizers.
