MIKU EXPO 2021 Updates: New Visuals, ‘Highlight’ Music Video, Digital Stars 2021
MIKU EXPO 2021 will be taking place in June, and there have been a lot of developments in the fully online Miku event! Read on for a recap of all the recent announcements on what fans can loo forward to!
New Visual
First, a brand new, gorgeous sub-visual for MIKU EXPO 2021 by ryota was revealed last week! This one shows Miku in a different pose but wearing the same globe-themed outfit, looking like she’s in the middle of a live concert! We bet seeing this must’ve gotten you excited for the real show!
Kickstarter Crowdfunding Conclusion
The Kickstarter campaign to fund MIKU EXPO 2021 has concluded with a whopping ¥61,265,492 JPY raised by 3,588 generous backers!
That means every single goal and stretch goal has been met, so the concert will have a grand total of 16 songs, including “Thousand Little Voices” by Vault Kid & Flanger Moose, the winning entry of the MIKU EXPO 2021 song contest, and Miku will be getting an original outfit in the accompanying outfit design contest!

Highlight Music Video
For the past month, fans got to enjoy the lyric video for the MIKU EXPO 2021 theme song, Highlight by KIRA.
And in case you haven’t already fallen in love with the song, we are now graced with a splendid music video for it featuring artwork by Ekkoberry and animation work by Riguruma! Talk about a truly international collaborative effort!
The music video follows the MIKU EXPO 2021 image of a “globe” which Miku holds in her hands at times in the video. It also shows the locations of each of the artists involved: KIRA from Germany, Ekkoberry from New Zealand, Riguruma from Russia, and Miku from Japan! This song and music video truly go to show how MIKU EXPO is something we can share and enjoy across many borders, something which isn’t usually possible in terms of Miku-centered concerts up til recently!
For the first time we will have a major event every fan can witness.
