HATSUNE MIKU Digital Stars 2021 Collab Cafe Initial Details Revealed
The newest installment of Digital Stars – a sub-event to the worldwide MIKU EXPO concerts – is looking to be the most exciting yet. What with the announcement of VOCALOID GUMI joining the piapro characters for the event this year, some of us thought things couldn’t get any better… until we got word of a Digital Stars collaboration cafe, that is!
And if this event has piqued your interest, don’t forget that there’s also a Digital Stars themed cafe happening in Taiwan right now too.

Main visual
The event visual was drawn by the wonderful 上倉エク / Eku Uekura, and features ALL of the piapro characters adorned in gorgeous pastel co-ords:
The theme for the event is 「ゆめかわDTMer」(Yume-kawa Desk Top Musician), and for anyone not familiar with Japanese “cute” fashion trends, Yumekawa is a style following the concept of “cute like a dream”, embodied by pastel colours and motifs such as clouds, angel wings, rainbows and more.
Digital Stars Radio
For anyone lucky enough to be able to go to the Animax Cafe in Harajuku (see more details below), there will be a live broadcast of Digital Stars Radio in the cafe booth on August 28th! This particular radio show will be shown one day before HATSUNE MIKU Digital Stars 2021, so it’s certainly something you won’t want to miss! Fans who can’t go to the cafe on the day will of course be able to watch from home too though, so no need to fret.

Update on August 18th 2021 – We now have updates as to the menu items and merchandise available for the event:
>Miku’s Genovese Plate – ￥1,280
Genovese pasta with spring onions, ham, salad, bread rolls and a small monaka (wafer) featuring Miku.
> Rin’s Orange Pancakes – ￥1,200
Pancakes, slices of orange, candy floss, cubes of mango, mango flavoured sauce, whipped cream, mango flavoured ice cream, a sprig of mint, maple syrup on the side and a monaka (wafer) of Rin.
> Len’s Omurice – ￥1,280
Omurice (chicken fried rice flavoured with ketchup and wrapped in an omelette), ham and carrots in the shape of stars, white sauce, salad and a monaka (wafer) of Len.

Beetroot curry, rice, vegetables, fried chicken, parsely and a monaka (wafer) featuring Luka.
>MEIKO’s Strawberry Yoghurt Parfait – ￥1,200
Strawberries, strawberry whipped cream, strawberry ice cream, vanilla ice cream, yoghurt, cornflakes, raspberry sauce, a sprig of mint, “oiri” (small, colourful ball sweets made from popped rice), chocolate sticks and a monaka (wafer) of MEIKO.
>KAITO’s Blue Swiss Roll – ￥1,000
Blue swiss roll cake with peaches, vanilla ice cream, ramune (the fizzy marble drink) flavoured ice cream, blue sauce, dragees, gummy sweets, whipped cream and a monaka (wafer) in the shape of KAITO.

Soda, jellies, lime, whipped cream and monaka (wafer) featuring Miku.

Hatsune Miku Birthday Menu
From Miku’s birthday (August 31st), visitors will be able to order a special birthday cake in her honour!

A strawberry shortcake with a sprig of mint, ramune flavoured ice cream, rainbow sprinkles, chocolate deco pen (to decorate the cake yourself!) and a monaka (wafer) featuring Miku herself.

For any purchase of food/desserts, or drinks, you’ll receive one free coaster at random! Orders from the food/desserts menu give you one from the selection of full-body illustrated piapro characters, and ordering from the drinks menu gives you one from the selection of chibi designs.
>Staff pass-style stickers
By spending at least ￥3,000 on menu items or merchandise in one transaction in-store, you’ll receive a staff pass-style sticker at random (12 to collect).

Information for visitors:
- Please note that covid prevention methods will be in place at the cafes featured here. It is possible that details of the event(s) may change without much notice because of the spread of covid-19, so please make sure to check the official Twitter accounts for up-to-date information (see below).
- Your temperature will be measured upon arrival to the store, and your entry can be rejected if your temperature is 37.5℃ or higher. If you have a cough, fever etc. you will be refused entry.
- Please ensure you wear a facemask to the venue, and wear it when you are not eating or drinking.
- There will be a limited amount of seats available at the venue, so please make sure to reserve your space in advance to avoid disappointment. You can do this via the official Sweets Paradise app (preferred method – see links below), in-store or by phone. Same day reservations are not possible unfortunately, and you can only make a reservation for one day and time per account.
- If you decide to cancel your reservation, you will be allowed to make a new one. On-the-day cancellations need to be done by phone.
- There will be a ￥300 admission fee charged for all visitors
- Please only order as much food as you believe you will be able to consume during your time slot to avoid wastage.
- Cosplay is NOT permitted under any circumstances. You may not be allowed to enter if you look as though you’re wearing something like cosplay, or that’s out of the ordinary fashion wise etc.
- When taking photos, please ensure you DO NOT take any featuring other customers of staff members. Make sure to respect others’ privacy when you visit. Videos are NOT permitted at any time.
- Please do not engage in trading merchandise with others while inside the event venue

Does anyone know if we’ll be able to get the merch if we live outside of japan? Like will they put the merch in the online store and us overseas people can use a shopping service or is this looking to be a japan/in store exclusive T_T

We’ve just updated this article to include all of the merchandise information that has been released so far. It’s not been specified as to whether the merchandise will be available online at all, so unfortunately it looks unlikely that overseas fans will have a direct way to purchase goods from this collab event. As far as we’re aware, Sweets Paradise don’t have an online store that they put their merchandise in, either for preorders, sales during the event or post-event orders, although we’ll make sure to update this article if the possibility arises!
Therefore, the only way to get the goods would be via someone else picking them up for you as a proxy, or through second hand sales later on.
