Amehare Hau Debuts With VOICEVOX, Genbu To Come Soon After
While many fans have been patiently waiting for Amehare Hau’s formal entrance to the VOICEVOX software (it was announced around November that she’d be released at some point in January 2022), we were surprised when an update was posted saying that she’d be available from December 30th/January 1st – far earlier than some of us expected:

January 1st 2022Fans are welcome to create and release videos etc. featuring Amehare Hau from December 30th if they like, so long as they follow the terms of use.
And just as the post above mentioned, we now know her voice provider to be Yuzaki Konomi (@konomi_yuzaki), a freelance voice actor who has even been part of the anime King’s Game!

VOICEVOX Update 0.9.4
The latest update for VOICEVOX (as of writing) was announced on December 31st 2021:

This update includes the addition of Amehare Hau to the roster of voices you can use in VOICEVOX! To download this update, head to https://voicevox.hiroshiba.jp/ and click on the green ダウンロード (download) button. Choose the same settings for download as you did previously (if this is your first time downloading VOICEVOX, you can find specifics for which settings you should download VOICEVOX as by checking out our previous coverage here). Follow the procedure listed there, until you get to this window:
Click on the box with Amehare Hau’s face, and then click on the 次へ button (highlighted in orange) to go to the next character, and then finish the program setup.
Now you’re ready to use VOICEVOX!
Genbu announced for VOICEVOX
Around the same time, an unexpected announcement was made in the world of VOICEVOX: VirVox’s character Genbu is going to be released for their speech synthesis program soon:
【Important notice】
“Takehiro Kurono” (AKA Genbu) will become part of the 3rd generation of VOICEVOX characters! He will be the first masculine voice for VOICEVOX.For fans of male vocal synths, there’s nothing better than this!

It was also mentioned in a follow-up post that they were working on a way for fans who purchased his TALQu_HQ & exVOICE (HD ver.) from BOOTH before December 24th 2021 to get early access to his VOICEVOX bank for free, although we are still waiting for further information on this as of writing.
