Project SEKAI: Colorful Broadcast Episode 1 Overview
As announced on June 10th, Project SEKAI Colorful Broadcast had its first livestream on June 13th, 2020 from 8:00 to 9:00 PM JST with hosts Ruriko Noguchi and Yuki Nakashima, voice actresses for Ichika Hoshino and Shiho Hinomori, respectively! Together, the pair went over the new reveals for Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku.
You can watch a replay of the program below on YouTube and Periscope.
Read on for an overview of all that they go over!
22:30 Opening Scenario
The first episode focused on Leo/need and much for the first 20 minutes was a recap of information about the band.
Then at 22:30 into the stream, the opening scenario for Leo/need’s story – previously only seen by players of the closed beta test – was revealed!
25:45 Post-Training Card Illustrations
Then at 25:45 into the stream came the next new reveal. We have previously seen the pre-training card illustrations for Ichika, Shiho, and Luka as she appears in Leo/need’s story. But during the stream, their post-training ★3 card illustrations were revealed!
Although this stream was focused on Leo/need, they were able to reveal one more card illustration for another unit member, and asked viewers to comment with the name of their most preferred unit. 25 o’clock by Night Code won out, so we were treated to a post-training ★3 Mizuki illustration as well!
32:00 Miku’s 3D Model with Morikura En’s outfit
At 32:00, the hosts gave us a look back at the various artists who are lending their outfit designs skills to Project SEKAI. You can get an overview of all of them here.
The one they focused on this time was the Miku outfit designed by 森倉円 / Morikura En and below you can see the artist’s commentary:
“I was going for a chic and cute-looking vibe, adding color accents to a predominantly black and white dress. I really like how the belt and corset turned out, which were the somewhat hard parts, and how the silhouetted frills around her waist almost look as if they’re flowing.”
Speaking of Morikura En’s design, we were then blessed with a sneak-peek at Miku’s 3D model in the game wearing the dress! Even though it was just a still image, seeing the outfit designs on a 3D model makes them more appealing than just seeing their concept arts. In fact, we can’t simply wait to see all the other outfits on the characters in 3D!
34:08 Leo/need’s Songs
We recently learned which producers were producing original songs for which unit, and how it was revealed that DECO*27 is making one for Leo/need, a fact that was recapped in the stream. Now if only they could have played part of the song for us.
We have also known from past news that ロキ / Roki by みきとP / MikitoP would be covered by Leo/need, but we were not sure how many of the other revealed songs would also be sung by the band. But then the hosts of the livestream revealed that DECO*27’s ヒバナ -Reloaded- / Hibana -Reloaded- and Omoi‘s テオ / Teo are also going to be Leo/need songs!
40:28 New Gameplay Footage
For the next segment, Noguchi and Nakashima announced what is the High Score Battle for Project SEKAI Colorful Broadcast! During each episode, the hosts will be playing the game representing their own unit, and the highest scoring player will win high-grade bento for them and their co-host to enjoy. Talk about incentive to play well!
Nakashima was the one representing the Leo/need unit voice actresses, and she played ロキ / Roki and Expert, and Tell You World on Master. Start watching the stream at 40:28 to see how well she does! We even get to see how each song’s full 3DMVs look!
Furthermore, those with keen eyes may have caught a shot of this 1-koma comic after she was done playing at 42:38
Miku: “When you reach this point, turn and wink♡”
Rin: “Eh? But just singing and dancing is hard enough!”
Miku: “Our fans are the important ones…”
51:33 Song Contest Winner
From February 25th through April 30th, the Project SEKAI song contest was held, and now the winner has been revealed!
“alive” by 市瀬るぽ / Ichinose Lupo feat. Kagamine Rin!
Commentary from the winner:
I am so, so, so happy!
I created my own ‘form of sekai’ that I desired to create with Rin-chan’s voice.
I hope that Rin-chan’s radiance and energy can be conveyed in this song, like transforming a completely blank world into seven colors of the rainbow. I look forward to the day when everyone can play it!
You can listen to the full version of the song here to decided for yourself if the producer succeeded!
