Project SEKAI: Colorful Broadcast Episode 2 Overview
The second of five episodes for Project SEKAI Colorful Broadcast has aired, covering MORE MORE JUMP! and hosted by Mayu Yoshioka and Saki Fujita! Find a replay of it below!
Compared to last time, it was rather thin on new announcements, but there were still some nice reveals that will get gamers excited. See an overview of them below!
Gameplay Updates
Critical Notes
Some new aspects of the basic gameplay were explained for the first time during this stream. The first is for what they call Critical Notes. These are the yellow-colored notes that you may have observed in gameplay videos. These notes are worth more points than the regular ones, so you don’t want to miss them! Make sure to tap, hold, or flick anytime you see yellow notes coming up!
Skills
The hosts then went on to explain character skills in the game. When activated, they can provide a variety of benefits to match your play style.
Score Up
When activated, this skill increases the amount of points you get for each successful not. It’s ideal for players going for a high score.
Life Recovery
When activated, this skill lets you recover life that you lost from hitting BAD or MISS. It’s ideal when attempting to clear a difficult song.
Perfect Lock
When activated, this skill changes GOOD or GREAT notes that you hit into PERFECT. It’s ideal for when you are going for that coveted FULL COMBO!
Songs
Later into the stream, it was again confirmed that Mitchie M is creating MORE MORE JUMP!’s original theme song, which still has yet to be revealed.
Then it was revealed that MORE MORE JUMP! will be the unit covering the following confirmed songs:
ツギハギスタッカート / Tsugihagi Staccato (Patchwork Staccato) by とあ / Toa
ハッピーシンセサイザ / Happy Synthesizer by EasyPop
ビバハピ / Viva Happy by Mitchie M
And speaking of Tsugihagi Staccato, the hosts confirmed that a 3DMV is in the works for the song – which is covered by Miku, Airi, and Shizuku – and showed us some screenshots! Expect its full reveal sometime later this month!
Twitter Announcements
Finally, the stream’s concluding announcements recapped some of those that were made on the Project SEKAI official Twitter account.
Questions for the next Project Message
First came the reminder that the developers are taking questions about the game, and will answer as many as they can during the next Project Message update! Tweet your questions with the hashtag #セカイの質問箱 to let them find and hopefully answer it!
※Note that your questions will have the best chance of being answered if asked in Japanese
VOCALOID Song Memories
Secondly, the developers would like to know what kind of memories you have created with VOCALOID songs. They encourage fans to tweet their most cherished memories with the hashtag #ボカロ曲の思い出, and you may hear your’s read during a future Colorful Broadcast episode!
※Again, tweeting in Japanese will give you the best chance of seeing your memory read
Colorful Broadcast Episode 3
Finally, the stream concluded with the announcement that the next Colorful Broadcast will cover Vivid BAD SQUAD, and will be hosted by Akina and Tomomi Hiena Sumi! Look forward to it next!
That concludes the new announcements made in the second Color Broadcast! Stay tuned for a roundup of announcements from episode 3!
