Project SEKAI: Project Message Vol. 2

Project SEKAI message vol. 2

The development team for Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku is back with another Project Message to keep fans of the upcoming game informed about its ongoing development! You can review the first installment here.

Back on June 2nd, they started taking questions from fans which they now answer for this Project Message. They received many questions and could not answer everything this time around, but plan to in the next Project Message or some other way.

Read on for an unofficial translation of the questions and the answers that the development team was able to provide!

Question 1: Will only songs sung by the 6 piapro characters be in the game, or will songs with other VOCALOIDs be included as well?

Answer: “Yes, there will be!

“In Project SEKAI, along with songs like Happy Synthesizer that feature a Crypton VOCALOID and another company’s VOCALOID, we want to strike a balance between them and songs that are sung by only VOCALOIDs from other companies.

“We have been planning to include them so as to allow a new generation of fans to enjoy VOCALOID music through Project SEKAI, one of our goals from the start.

“We are still considering how to best add the songs in, so we appreciate everyone’s patience as you wait for more detailed information.”

Question 2: “Will the boys be singing too…?? I stan the boys and have been worried after not seeing them in any of the music videos (´;ω;`)”

Answer: “We deeply apologize for causing so many fans (especially Len and KAITO fans, and those who have come to like Akito, Toya, Tsukasa and Rui) to worry over this. But please rest assured, the boys will be singing just as much as the girls, and they’ll be available for the 3DMVs when the game is released.

“Among all the different aspects that we must keep in mind for Project SEKAI, character balance is first and foremost. Because we’re limited in the amount of content that we can reveal each month, there will be times when that character balance gets thrown off briefly. However, we are always planning out how to restore that balance to the best that it can be before long.”

Question 3: “Will the game be released worldwide in the future? Sorry I’m bad at Japanese.”

Answer: “Greetings to our overseas fans!

“We’re very grateful that you’ve been following the game despite the fact that we can only release information about it in Japanese.

“We are aware of the overseas fan community that has been commenting on our YouTube and Twitter accounts in other languages, and even translating and disseminating our Tweets for us. Therefore, we very much want to answer questions about an overseas release.

“Project SEKAI is first being released in Japan, and in Japanese. For the time being, we unfortunately do not yet have any plans for translating it into other languages, or releasing it simultaneously worldwide.

“However, we are looking ahead and have begun considering how to make the game available worldwide after its initial release. We don’t have anything that we can reveal at this time, but we hope to do so in some form as available information get updated.”

Question 4: “I want to know what kind of foods all the characters like and dislike.”

That concludes the questions answered in Project Message Vol. 2, but the development team promises to answer more questions in some way in the future. Therefore, make sure to continue asking them by tweeting your questions with the hashtag #セカイの質問箱, keeping in mind that you’ll have the best chance of seeing your questions answered if it’s asked in Japanese.

Stay tuned for a potential Project Message Vol. 3!
