Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku Pre-Release Livestream from Tokyo Game Show 2020
On Saturday, September 26th at 8:00 PM (JST), SEGA ATLUS TV aired the final livestream for Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku from Tokyo Game Show 2020 before the game’s release on September 30th, 2020!

AR Photo Spot
The first fun announcement was for the AR photo spot feature on the COCOAR2 app that let’s you take photos videos of an augmented reality image of Miku right on your mobile device!
This special feature will remain available until October 24th, 2020 at 11:59 PM (JST), so make sure to try it out for yourself before then!
First, open the below webpage and scan the QR code with your mobile device to access the download page for COCOAR2:

Once you have the app installed, open and use it to scan the Project SEKAI image on the webpage above in order to make Miku appear! You can then place her anywhere you like using your device camera and take pictures of her to share on social media with the hashtag #セガTGS2020おうちdeフォトスポット!

Release Countdown Illustrations
Anyone following the Project SEKAI official Twitter account will have no doubt noticed all the beautiful illustrations by a myriad of talented artists, counting down the final 39 days until the release of the game on September 30!

One Million Pre-registered Users
And then came the first of exciting announcements for players:
Project SEKAI now has 1,000,000 pre-registered players!
Enjoy this super cute illustration by iXima celebrating this amazing milestone for the still yet unreleased game!
This means that upon launch, all players of the game will receive the following rewards:
- Crystals x3,300 (good for 11 gacha pulls)
- A guaranteed ★3 member gacha ticket
- Sekai outfits for the Virtual Singer characters
- Sticker exchange tickets x3
- Live boost drinks x5
- Music card x30 (used to purchase 3 songs)
- 1 outfit’s worth of crafting material
- Virtual coins x5,000 (used to purchase items for Virtual Lives)
Talk about a head start! Congratulations to the development team and all players who pre-registered!
Release Schedule for 20 New Songs Revealed
The day before the livestream, the Project SEKAI Twitter account dropped a bombshell announcement: starting on October 1st, a new song will be released every day until October 20th!
Below, you can see the related tweets that they made, showing the release day for each announced song, and hints for the unannounced ones.
And then during the livestream, the full list of songs, their release dates, their producers, and whether how they will be presented in the game (Sekai ver., Virtual Singer ver., 3DMV, and/or 2D) were all revealed at once!

Another Vocal Ver. of Songs
The next revelation was that some songs will have more than just their Virtual Singer and Sekai versions. Some will also have what are called “Another Vocal versions” that are sung by a solo singer!
For example, below, we see that by raising Honami’s character rank, we can unlock her “Another Vocal ver.” of needLe! Nakashima also confirmed during the livestream that this song will have a Shiho-only version as well!
We even get to hear an example of this!

And below, you can listen to its “Another Vocal ver.” sung by only Kanade!
Non-piapro Character Virtual Singers
That wasn’t the only exciting announcement regarding different versions of songs. It was next confirmed that the Virtual Singer versions of some songs in Project SEKAI that were not originally sung by a piapro character will have their original versions in the game!
For example, the below tweet confirms the following:
- ハッピーシンセサイザー / Happy Synthesizer will also have its original Luka and GUMI version
- フラジール / Fragile will also have its original GUMI version
- シャルル / Charles will also have its original flower version
- 夜咄ディセイブ / Yobanashi Deceive will also have its original IA version
We even get to hear the Virtual Singer version of シャルル being played below!
Release Celebration Virtual Lives
Next was a series of announcements for features that fans can look forward to as soon as the game launches!
First came the reveal of Virtual Lives that will take place during the game’s first week of service! They are scheduled as so:
- Wednesday, September 30th: Virtual Singer Virtual Live
- Thursday, October 1st: Leo/need Virtual Live
- Friday, October 2nd: MORE MORE JUMP! Virtual Live
- Saturday, October 3rd: Vivid BAD SQUAD Virtual Live
- Sunday, October 4th: Wonderlands x Showtime Virtual Live
- Monday, October 5th: 25 o’clock by Night Code Virtual Live
- Tuesday, October 6th: Virtual live with Miku, Rin, Len, Ichika, Minori, Kohane, Tsukasa, and Kanade!
Watch Virtual Lives with Friends
The next announcement was also related to the Virtual Lives!
When you make a private room for a show, you can get some additional crystal rewards depending on how many people enter your room to attend the Virtual Live! The these rewards go as so:
- 2-5 people: 50 Free Crystals
- 6-10 people: 100 Free Crystals
- 11 or more people: 200 Free Crystals
So start making friends so that you can get more crystals during Virtual Lives!
Proejct SEKAI Support Ambassador
Also starting on September 30th is another campaign, though this one will be taking place outside of the game!
The game creators will be accepting entries for what they are calling a Project SEKAI Support Ambassador. These ambassadors will be expected to use Twitter and other social media to reach and spread word about Project SEKAI to tons of people!
Here’s how to enter when the entry period starts:
- 1) Follow Project SEKAI’s official Twitter account
- 2) Email them your Player ID, Twitter account name, and words of enthusiasm for Project SEKAI!
- Entry period: September 30 through October 11th, 2020
100 ambassadors will be chosen from among those who enter, and they will receive an icon frame usable for Twitter and other social media, plus a set of exclusive goods! The email address for the contest will be revealed later, so get your emails ready now!
Outfit Design Campaign + Song Contest “Project SEKAI NEXT”
Furthermore, another two campaigns were announced for fans to compete in!
One is a Project SEKAI outfit design campaign, and the other is a song contest being called プロセカNEXT (Project SEKAI NEXT)!

39 Login Campaign
Finally, one final campaign was announced to conclude the livestream announcements!
In the 39 (“sankyuu” / “Thank you”) campaign, you will be awarded 300 free crystals on each day you log in to the game between September 30 and October 30, for a maximum of 13 days. That means you can get up to 3,900 free crystals in this campaign with daily logins!
Upcoming Release
The livestream closed with Nakashima and Hirose sharing their feelings about how they can’t wait for players to finally experience the game for themselves. And that’s when Tatsuse revealed the exact time that Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku will be available for play: 12:01 PM JST on September 30th!
