Sekai no Kousaten
On March 27th, the Saturday prior to the half-anniversary, Project SEKAI illustrators and manga artists convened on the online marketplace, pictsquare, for a day-long doujin extravaganza called Sekai no Kousaten!
On that day, countless Project SEKAI illustrators and manga artists presented their fan-created works and merchandise to the world, all while of course keeping to the derivative works guidelines that were previously laid out by the game creators. For any Project SEKAI fan who has fallen in love with the characters from the game and love seeing other people’s takes on them, it was a dream-come-true event!
To see all that these talented creators had for sale at Sekai no Kousaten, search the #ここがセカイの交差点 and #こがセカ hashtags on Twitter. Below is but a taste of some of the many, many different booths and products that you can find!
For any future Sekai no Kousaten events and developments, you can visit their official page here and follow them on Twitter at @SekainoKousaten!

An original song by 164 for Leo/need
Producer commentary:
Nice to meet you. I’m 164. It is an honor to have the opportunity to compose a song for Project SEKAI. It’s a song about the anguish that one feels from standing at a fork in the road, and one’s feelings about the future that lies beyond it. I hope to aid Leo/need in their advancement towards the future together!
Furthermore, it was also announced that the original song that Ito Kent is creating with OSTER project on arrangement is nearing completion! We even get to hear a sample of it at exactly 1:00:59 into the livestream! You can just straight to that part by clicking here!
New Outfits

初音ミクの激唱 / Hatsune Miku no Gekishou

They even gave us a look at the level 33 MASTER chart for the song!

New Collaboration with Pocari?
At this point in the livestream, Hirose pointed out a certain product placement visible on the show, namely the Pocari Sweat bottle on the table next to Nakashima!
Nakashima swore that it was not an intentional product placement, but that Leo/need and Pocari Sweat may soon be doing another collaboration together. As many know, Pocari Sweat and Project SEKAI have collaborated have collaborated a lot before, so a new project does not sound too far-fetched!
Look forward to hearing more details about this (that is, assuming that Nakashima wasn’t just making it up on the spot in order to save herself)!
Special Information on the 5 Units
Continuing the announcements of real-world events, one of the biggest surprises of the livestream was the unveiling of a new project for each of the five units in the game!

Then came the special info on Vivid BAD SQUAD and their limited-time concept café themed around WEEKEND GARAGE that will be opening sometime soon!
Wonderlands×Showtime Special Info
Continuing on, it has been confirmed that Wonderlands×Showtime will have a special event in NAMJA TOWN! The wackiness of Wondershow meets the wackiness of the NAMJA crew? Talk about a match made in heaven!
25-ji, Night Code de. Special Info
And finally capping off these rapid-fire announcements, there will be one final event that gives us a glimpse into a day of in the lives of 25 members carrying out their creation process over Night Code.
Obviously, these new real-world projects are all in the planning phases and details are left vague for all of them, some more than others. But you can bet that we not only look forward to learning more, but also attending them once they are open! It’s like in Soviet Russia the real world, the sekai are brought to us!
Producer Letters
And closing off this feature-rich livestream, we get to hear some congratulatory messages from the producers behind the project!
First up, it’s Kosuge Shingo of SEGA Games!
Hello! This is Kosuge, a producer at SEGA. Thank you for always enjoying ProSEKA. I’m very happy to have met everyone through ProSEKA, and to be able to see it’s half anniversary like this. I’m sure that Miku-san, Ichika and the others are all thrilled as well. Sadly, I have not been able to spend time with friends, and have endured a lot of daily hardships this past half year. But I have been preparing a lot of lives and events in SEKAI for players to enjoy, so I will continue to do my best with everyone for a little longer. Let’s enjoy this half anniversary together!!
The next one up to bat was Kondo Yuichiro of Colorful Palette!
Happy Half Anniversary! This is Kondo of Colorful Palette. This time around, an update note came up right before the livestream, so I can only be there in spirit. I’m sending it out now from Shibuya (my office). For us to be able to welcome the half anniversary of Project SEKAI today is all thanks to all of your support. Thank you so much as always. A whole half year has passed in the blink of an eye, but I hope you will continue to keep an eye on this ever expanding SEKAI from here on out. We and the 26 characters in ProSEKA looking forward to your continued support.
P.S. I really had one more big piece of info prepared, but I really cut it too close… I should be able to announce it within the next few days, so please looking forward to that as well!!
And last but not least come Sasaki Wataru of Crypton Future Media!
Congratulations on the Project SEKAI Half Anniversary. I really can’t believe that half a year has already passed. Contrary to other games up to now, we needed to establish how the virtual singers worked from a different plane of existence, and the inhabitants of Project SEKAI could join hands, sing together, and shares troubles with each other in a truly emotional way. All our repeated discussion and trial and error with SEGA and Colorful Palette has been really rough indeed, but I’m very happy to see so many people embrace what we have made like this. Thanks to all of your support, being able to participate in Project SEKAI has been a wonderful experience and a true gala-worthy moment for me, and for Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin & Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO and KAITO as well. We at Crypton will continue supporting them and everyone involved in Project SEKAI, and wish for ever more growth and activity for you all. We look forward to working with you more.
Project SEKAI Half Anniversary Website
Quite a lot of information to take in, wasn’t it? if that’s what you’re thinking, then you’ll be glad to know that the Project SEKAI Half Anniversary website is still around, and has been vastly updated with tons of the above information!
Make sure to visit the website here, and look forward to even more updates as the half anniversary celebrations continue!
And thus concludes our Half Anniversary news roundup for Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku!
We at VocaSphere also love and are very passionate about the game, and promoting its charm far and wide. We will continue to work with our partners at Project SEKAI English Community to bring overseas fans the closest coverage possible of the game in English, all in hopes of someday encouraging an official global version!
