The Project SEKAI Wondershow Channel #3 – the final livestream for Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku in 2020 – streamed on December 23 at 8:00 PM (JST), and made tons of announcements for fans to look forward to in the new year!

Introduction
The livestream kicked off with some interesting tidbits, a recap of recent developments, and a challenge for listeners to take part in!
- Since its launch on September 30, 2020, Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku now has over 2,500,000 registered users!
- In Google Play’s Best of 2020 Awards, Project SEKAI walked away with an excellence award in the Creative category, and was the overall winner of the user vote category, all despite being less than 3 months old!
- Wonderhoi Challenge: viewers could about the livestream content with the hashtag #プロセカ生放送. If the hashtag becomes the #1 trend on Twitter, all players would be awarded with 500 Crystals!
And yes, they reached that goal within just 5 minutes after announcing the challenge!
Game Updates
- Past event stories and after-event Virtual Lives can now be re-experienced in the game
- Prices for avatar outfits and accessories in the game have been discounted:
– Items that previously cost 3000 Paid Crystals now cost 1000 Paid Crystals
– Players who already purchased those items will be refunded 2000 Paid Crystals for each item - Gacha Seal Exchange Ticket:
– Currently, gacha seals received from gacha pulls (1 seal per character received in a gacha) would automatically convert into Memory Shards upon an event’s end if players could not amass 300 of them to exchange for a member card
– But with this new update coming at the end of the year, up to 100 gacha seals collected from a given gacha can be exchanged for a Gacha Seal Exchange Ticket
– This ticket can then be converted back into gacha seals for future gachas
– This essentially enables you to “save” up to 100 gacha seals per gacha to use in a later gacha to make it easier for players to reached the coveted 300 seals to exchange for a ★4 member card!
- Expanded Virtual Live attendance limit
– Currently, only 15 players are allowed in a waiting room for a Virtual Live. But for the year-end countdown Virtual Live on December 31, they aim to expand that limit to 100 players per waiting room!
– A beta version of this greatly expanded waiting room will happen first, and if successful, it will be implemented in the full game
– A video was also shown during the livestream to give players an idea of how the waiting area will look to hold 100 people! There will not only be more blank areas, but even a music video viewing area to get the crowd excited before the live show!
– Kondo was well aware during the livestream that they would only have 1 week to hold this test and implement the change, but he promised they would do their best to make it happen by year end!
Future Updates
Then came the announcement of some planned updates to be implemented in the future, some of which should get players excited!
- Late-night Virtual Live viewing will be implemented
– Late-night for Japan would mean daytime for players living in the Western Hemisphere, a welcome addition for those players!
– This is expected to happened after the year-end countdown Virtual Live - A new Friend system
– Among the features, friended players will be able to invite each other to Virtual Lives
– More features will be added as time goes on - New ways to acquire Another Vocal Cards for obtaining alternate versions of songs
– With the great number of songs in the game, the developers will give players more ways to unlock their Another Vocal versions, which was also great news to the voice actors and actresses who sing said Another Vocal versions!

Then came the main news corner of the livestream, and was there ever a lot to report!
Christmas Specials
From 12:00 AM (JST) midnight on December 24, through the end of December 25, Project SEKAI players could celebrate the holidays early with a series of limited-time Christmas-themed campaigns in Project SEKAI!
Christmas Login Campaign
First, during the midnight on Christmas Eve to the end of Christmas Day period, players who logged in would receive 300 Crystals and a Live Bonus Drink (Large) for free! Talk about your generous Christmas gifts!
Christmas Live
Then once logged in, players could start enjoying the special Christmas 2020 Live! Fans who attended got to watch the following performances:
独りんぼエンヴィー / Hitorinbo Envy (Solitary Envy) by koyori feat. Hatsune Miku, Kanade Yoisaki and Mizuki Akiyama
Tell Your World by kz(livetune) feat. Hatsune Miku
They would also receive the Christmas 2020 title, and have the chance to purchase the Santa Claus outfit set and Reindeer Headband accessory for their virtual live avatar!
Christmas Outfit Set
In addition to their avatars, players could also purchase the 2020 Christmas Outfit Sets for the game’s characters to wear during lives! Until December 25 at 11:59 PM (JST), the game’s Crystal Shop carried both ladies as well as men’s versions of the outfits. It has even been hinted that they could make a return to the game, so players who missed purchasing them could have another chance very soon!
Icon Frames, Headers, and Mobile Wallpapers
The Christmas gifts didn’t end there! Available now for free download are the character icon frames and unit headers for use on social media pages, and unit-themed mobile phone wallpapers (for both Android and iPhone)!

Kagamine Rin & Len Happy Anniversary Lives
Even after Christmas was over, Project SEKAI players had another special occasion to celebrate: the 13th anniversary for Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len!
Starting right at 12:00 AM midnight, Happy Anniversary Virtual Lives were held for both Rin and Len! The lives were different depending on which character players chose, and players could get both the Happy Anniversary Rin and Happy Anniversary Len tiles by attending both lives, as well as purchase avatar outfits for either character!
For Rin’s Virtual Live, she and all the Virtual Singer characters performed スイートマジック / Sweet Magic by Junky. Meanwhile, Len performed フラジール / Fragile by ぬゆり / nulut with KAITO for his Virtual Live!
Year-End and New Year Specials
Next, the livestream revealed how Project SEKAI would be both closing off 2020, and welcoming 2021 in a series of special campaigns!
Login Campaign
As soon as the Christmas login campaign period ended at midnight on December 26, the Year-End Countdown Campaign immediately began!
Through this campaign, players can get 100 Crystals per day by logging in to the game every day until December 31 at 11:59 PM (JST)! The Crystal gift resets at 12:00 AM each day, giving players 24 hours to snag 100 Crystals every day for a grand total of 600 Crystals if they log in on each day of the campaign period!
2021 Countdown Live
Then as the login campaign winds down on December 31 at 11:52 PM (JST), players will be able to finally enjoy the 2021 Countdown Live and welcome the new year in Project SEKAI! They will also receive the 2021 Countdown title for attending, and have the chance to purchase the 2021 Penlight from the Virtual Shop!
And yes, this is the same Virtual Live that is planned to hold 100 players in its waiting room! This will allow for many more people to enjoy the live at their desired time!
SEKAI’s Happy New Year Event
That’s not all. The name of the next game event in Project SEKAI has been revealed to be “SEKAI’s Happy New Year,” and it will begin on December 31 at 3:00 PM (JST)! During the event, players will be able to read and enjoy stories about how each of the game’s units will be celebrating the new year!
Happy New Year Lives
Right after the 2021 Countdown Live period ends, players need not wait long before the next one. Or rather, before the next five!
That’s because a Happy New Year Virtual Live will take place every day from January 1 through January 5, 2021 with each unit taking turns in the spotlight! See below for which unit will be performing on which day!
During the livestream, it was also mentioned that Year of the Ox and Lion Dance full set outfits will be available, presumably for players to dress their avatars up in. Look forward to seeing their reveal soon!
New Year Outfits
Just like with Christmas, players will be able to find New Year-themed outfits available in the Crystal Shop come 2021! There will again be both ladies and men’s versions of the outfits following the motifs of a Miko and Kannushi, respectively!
Daily Free Gacha
And if that all weren’t enough to convince you to log in every day during the New Year season, here’s another major incentive:
You’ll be able to pull one free 10-string gacha every day from January 1 through January 8! If you do the math, that equates to 80 free gacha card for players who log in and pull on each day of the campaign!
Note that only character cards that were available up to November 30, 2020 will be available in the gacha pulls. Although character cards that made their debut after that date won’t be available, that’s still a large number of potentially new cards for one to collect!
O-mikuji Campaign
In addition to the daily gacha pulls, players will also be given the chance to draw one o-mikuji fortune slip per day!
Much like the o-mikuji campaign from last year, they will have “small fortune,” “medium fortune” and “great fortune” slips that players can draw with medium fortune and greater slips yielding Amazon gift codes worth real-life money! Stay tuned for specific details, and be sure to read up on last year’s o-mikuji campaign for an idea of what’s to come!

Then from December 28, 2020 all the way through January 5, 2021, there will be a new song added every single day to Project SEKAI!
We were previously given vague hints as to what could be, and were challenged to tweet our guesses with the hashtag #プロセカ収録楽曲予想. Then the livestream finally revealed them all!

– “I’m absolutely filled with gratitude for those who picked my design. It may be an outfit fit for a gentlemanly phantom thief, but being a stage outfit, I designed it to be on the gaudy side. It’s meant to make anyone who wears it immediately look like a true phantom thief, so I didn’t want to make it too simplistic and gave it an asymmetrical design.”

– “We love the bat motif that effectively captures the look of a dark phantom thief! Each part looks so cool and meticulously designed that we’d love to see a phantom thief who wears this kind of outfit! It’s with these thoughts in mind that we picked it to win!”

ProSEKA Story Theater
In yet another New Year feature, the ProSEKA Story Theater has been announced!
During the New Year season, the voice cast will be livestreaming themselves reading and providing real-time audio commentary on each unit story. No doubt they will provide lots of insight into the characters and their stories that would be unknown to fans!
ProSEKA Collaboation Cafe
And now for something beyond the Project SEKAI game and the YouTube channel.
Briefly introduced was part of the Project SEKAI collaboration cafe at Animax Cafe+, the novelty items that you can get with food and drink orders, and the merchandise that they will be seelling when the cafe opens in early January!

YouTube Subscriber Campaign
Next, in promotion of the official Project SEKAI YouTube channel, it was announced that if the channel gets over 250,000 subscribers, then they will create voice dramas for each of the five units in the game!
