Message from the Project SEKAI Development Team
Here is an unofficial translation of the message that the Project SEKAI development team has for those who participate in illegal datamining and disseminating of the game’s unreleased data:
Hello. Project SEKAI development team here.
We have confirmed cases in which some of the game’s unreleased data and content (songs, images, MVs, etc.) have been illegally extracted and shared on social media, video sites and more.
As the development team for Project SEKAI, we value the emotional excitement, delight and fun that players feel when experiencing new content for the first time. But when players who look forward to the content catch sight of it through illegal acts, it ruins the invaluable experience that they could have had.
What’s more, in some cases, we may not be able to proceed with our original plans for the content, and must cancel it.
As the development team, we will continue to takes measures against illegal acts, but we ask that you not participate in such acts. Should you discover these acts, we also ask that you refrain from sharing them, and please report them through the proper channels of each social media and other platform where you discover them.
We look forward to your continued support of Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku.
A Message From Us at VocaSphere
If you are reading this, then we assume that you are a fan of the game, and are also concerned about its future, and even its prospects of receiving a global version some day.
As vocal synth fans, we are no strangers to cases when coveted information gets leaked from companies and subsequently gets widely shared among fans, nor are we strangers to when those companies decide to unfortunately cancel plans because of the acts of such fans who choose not to act responsibly with the leaked information.
As a website that translates and shares official voice synth information and announcements, we choose do the responsible thing and practice restraint when we find such leaked info, knowing full well that the company behind the project does not wish for their information to get publicized before it’s ready.
As fans of Project SEKAI, we are deeply concerned that we may not be able to fully enjoy the game as it is meant to be enjoyed if the development team continues to suffer setbacks caused by irresponsible fans who share leaked information that isn’t supposed to be shared. We are especially worried that they may reconsider any plans to possibly create a much hoped for global version of the game for international fans to finally enjoy.
And as individuals who are passionate about the vocal synth community and the joy, emotional experiences, and even life-changing moments that it has brought to so many fellow fans all over the world, we implore everyone reading this to do the same, and practice restraint by never sharing leaked information about Project SEKAI or any other project from vocals synth companies, and report them should you find them.
Some of you may feel that it would be harmless fun to share leaked information on so-called private channels instead of public ones like social media and video sharing sites. But then you must consider how you define “private.”
If you are sharing leaked information on a “private” group that has numerous members, and where leaked information would be seen by dozens or even hundreds of people, then it is hard to argue that it is still “private.” This is especially true of fan groups that openly invite anyone from the public to join them, whether it’s a Facebook group, a Discord server, etc. with little to no screening. When your “private” channel has hundreds or even thousands of other members in it, then sharing and discussing leaked information on it is no longer a “private” matter, nor is is “harmless fun” anymore.
Remember that in vocal synth fandom, and really in anything, it is not “harmless fun” when what you do hurts other individuals, or even the very companies who create the products that bring you so much delight, and which your fan community is built around. Can you consciously say that you’re having “fun” with a product with full knowledge that what you’re doing is hurting the chances of that very same product getting more sales, future updates and improvements, and may even cause them to get cancelled?
To show respect for others in the community, and for the companies who have brought us so much joy with their products, one must never share leaked information. Period. Not even on “private” channels. It is that simple.
In conclusion, we at VocaSphere have nothing but the utmost respect for SEGA, Crypton Future Media and Colorful Palette, and for the amazing collaborative work that they have done to bring us Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku. And if you also love the titular virtual diva and the games that she’s featured in, we know that you will do the right thing and show support for them by not sharing leaked information, and instead reporting it whenever and wherever you find it.
Let’s all continue supporting Hatsune Miku and enjoying Project SEKAI together, as a community of passionate and responsible fans!

i don’t know why this is an issue.
The leak that i’ve seen so far itself is just a 1 day early preview of cards, because they’re extracted from the data that can be downloaded 1 day prior to the timing of the event. It’s not even worthy of being called leak.
It’s not even like Genshin leak which is 2 months worth of future content.
All in all, gacha games hate leak because they want to keep being predatory and want us to spend on impulse.
There have been some incidents of game content being datamined and shared way, way before they were officially released.
For example, the Sekai version of the song “Tenshi no Clover” was leaked and listened to by many people days before the “Let’s Deliver! HOPEFUL STAGE ♪” event was scheduled to begin, and over a week before the song was supposed to go live in the game!
That was a very damaging leak to the game developers, to the song’s producer, DIVELA, and to any fan who waited patiently and eagerly for game content to come when it was scheduled to come. It’s incidents like these that we condemn and will do our part to prevent from happening again in the future.
